AutelMaxiIM KM100 (X) OBD Diagnostics Scan Tool

Recently purchased this auto scanner tool it comes with a key programming feature, and it's been a game-changer for my DIY car maintenance. This device is user-friendly, offering accurate diagnostics and seamless key programming capabilities. It's a valuable investment that saves time and money, making it a must-have for any car enthusiast.

Pros....It makes smart keys in an all keys lost scenario.It programs blade style keys to function as master keys.It works on a wide variety of vehicles.Comes with a nice case and lifetime updates, vci200 and 2 smart key fobs.Very nice screen.Durable construction.If you're looking to be a locksmith, this is a great start.Good value for the money.Good battery life.Cons.....Very hard to figure out unless you do your homework.You'll need to watch YouTube videos and the autel training videos that are installed on the km100 itself.Always copy the car or trucks immo to the autel before just erasing it.If you mess up someone's car or truck with this device, they will have to have it towed to the dealer to get the ecu reprogrammed.It's not easy to use until you get familiar with the device. Can't stress that enough.You'll need internet/wifi to update the device before using.All in all.... I have used this a few times and watched 10 hours or more on how to use it. Also watched countless vehicle specific YouTube videos. I have programmed blade keys for an 07 Camry. Took literally 5 minutes. Chevy is pretty good and covered. I like the km100. I would buy it again. Also, they give you 2 random universal smart key fobs.... valued around 80 bucks and the vci200 is also included which saves you 150+ dollars.

I purchased this scanner to add a key to my Toyota truck as well as a fob for another Toyota vehicle. Upon turning it on you are required to add your personal information (name, address, phone number, etc.). After registering the device I was allowed into it. I am tech savvy and immediately went to settings and privacy. I was blown away by the amount of dangerous software that is installed onto this device! I’m always hesitant to purchase Chinese made electronics that attach to WiFi. This device has enough on it to steal a multitude of your data! Be very cautious! I disabled the majority of software that is “allowed permission” to communicate to “outside” sources.If this affects its ability to “work” outside of internet communication then it’s not worth it. I tried to create a key for my truck with my master key to no avail as well as producing a key fob for my other vehicle; neither worked. This is where things get interesting…….After all the registering, I began getting 5-10 calls a day from unknown numbers. A few days later, I was informed by Experian Identity Works that my phone number was found on the Dark Web. I immediately went to my Autel account to close it. Upon attempting to close it, I was informed I couldn’t as I had a registered device in the account. There is NOWHERE on my own account that allows me to unregister my OWN devices. I had to contact Autel to tell them to unregister my device in order to delete my account.Several weeks later I have still not heard from Autel. I went to the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint to which I noticed they have a 1.5 out of 5 star rating! I am waiting to hear back from “BBB” after my complaint.All this to say, we all know China steals from Americans but, personally, this is a dangerous device and company…..I would steer clear!

Does everything I need. Simple to use and a great buy!!!

This Autel MaxilIM KN100 is a great tool. I used to reprogram an Immobilizer after a PCM replacement on a scion and worked great.

I would hesitate to purchase this device if you live in the USA and are not NASTF certified. Autel plans on locking the devices and people without the certification will end up with a bricked tool. Supposedly its supposed to roll out in 2024 and beyond. This goes for most popular programmers in the industry not just Autel. The tool itself is awesome its super powerful for such a small device. If you have IMMO PIncodes its an easy tool if you don't buy an IM508S with Autopropad G2 I'd suggest waiting through 2024 and 2025 to see what programmers will not be bricked without NASTF. I would highly recommend waiting you would put so much effort and money into this and then find out it no longer works without NASTF.On YouTube look up "Locksmith Lounge with Louie E4 Eric Lambert- Starting & Maintaining a successfulLocksmith Business" - By UHS Hardware about 11 minutes inThey will further explain the NASTF bricked device.Update: I called Autel USA support today to ask if can FD support is available and unfortunately CAN FD is no longer supported by km100. This means GM vehicles 2019 ish + are not able to program keys.

The product is really easy to use , explains to you step by step what to do, and the customer service is on point , they help you with any question or troubleshoot you may en counter

The media could not be loaded.  It’s great and working as expected. I love this KM100x. Also great customer service.
