This thing works perfectly. I used a little epoxy on the hole before using this, just to water seal it.

I used this tool one time. It was flimsy and bent after two rivets. This item doesn’t function well at all. You will spend more time trying to put it back together and cursing at it than actually successfully setting rivets. Spend the extra $5 and get a quality product made in the US.

The span of the handles are a little wide apart for my not-large female hands, but I was able to use the product. It doesn’t take a lot of strength to squeeze the handles together. The star shape formed by the rivet will withstand a lot of pull so it should last without being ripped out of the hole. It includes different nozzles that accept different wire sizes of rivets and a method to hold the nozzles onto the tool itself. They are easy the change, just screw them on and off. It’s a good system to join thick plastics together by a more flexible means than permanent glue.

A little difficult to use, but it will get the job done (and a great price$$). The handle has a bit of side to side play on the rivet gun which makes it a bit cumbersome to operate. When you get everything aligned it will work. It seems to make a good connection that wont easily pull out / through. Not the best solution by any means, but it will get the job done for occasional use, and for a slim $20 you can't complain.

This came in packaging that seemed to be tossed around quite a bit. The tool works well but has dings and scrapes all over it. The metal clip that holds them together is hanging on by a thread. And the tool to change the heads falls out super easy.

Bought this to rig up bungee system on my kayak. After installing the first rivet in the kayak the rivet got stuck in the gun and broke off. Went to Lowe’s hardware and bought a new rivet tool for 10.00 more and finished the job. Very poor quality all around compared to the 28,00 tool at Lowe’s.

So, the kit includes 16 rivets, 1 rivet gun, one wrench to change bits and four bits. None of the bits are large enough to use with the enclosed rivets making the kit basically useless unless I go but another rivet gun or different rivets. The packaging also arrived completely destroyed inside a undamaged bag. Not a recommended purchase.

There is a lot of slop in the head and spring mechanism. The lower arm bent above the cheap plastic handle within a few rivets. Overall this rivet tool is a poor quality one time use tool. Spend you hard earned money on something else.
