Inexpensive and durable
I use this product for my files. I have several files I use to sharpening chainsaw chains and it works perfect. Thanks for the GREAT price. I have everything I need now to work outside. Couldn't be happier for this purchase on Amazon. I use this product almost everyday with confidence.

Not Just For Files
I was surprised these worked as well as they did. Only needed a few for files. Used two for gardening hand tools.

I used these handles for a steering wheel on an antique wooden boat. They look great.

PRETTY BAD
Multiple Photos Included...I simply needed a few inexpensive wooden handles to put on some stray, handleless files I found in my workshop. I wasn't expecting walnut, or maple, or even a perfect finish. I did however, expect simple intact handles that I could easily put on my files without having to repair, or modify in order to have them function at all. They are obviously made of some kind of cheap softwood, as all of the dents and surface damage would indicate. One of the handles was received with a large crack in it and I wouldn't trust it not to completely split under the rigors of routine filing. Thus, I am already down to 4 handles. The metal collets at the end of the handles are meant to provide structural strength and help prevent the handles from splitting when a file tang is inserted into place. However, these collets are crooked, weak, thin, and ill-fitting. I was able to pluck one of them off easily with an arthritic thumb and forefinger. The holes drilled for file insertion are off-center, oversized and asymmetrical. I was able to insert each of 3 medium-sized hand files right to the bottom of the pre-drilled holes with absolutely no friction to hold the file in place. I was able to dump the file out each handle with nothing more than gravity. The finish looks and feels like the handles were dipped in sawdust- contaminated polyurethane. Based on the evidence, I would assume that any strength, or weight the handles do possess, comes primarily from the lumpy poly finish. So, at least there's that. I can't imagine what qualities these handles have that earned them the "Amazon's Choice" distinction, but, they got it nonetheless. I'll just end up refilling the oversized holes with epoxy and redrilling in order to keep this purchase from being a total loss. It's not worth my time to bother shipping back, or exchanging for more worthless handles... which is what everyone else in this transaction is likely counting on. The distinctive characteristics of this product are, low-quality materials and poor manufacturing.

Solid , not cheap
I drove the blade of the file into the handle. Smack down the handle on a vise and perfect

Do not fit chainsaw files
For the price I thought i'd take a gamble. These will not fit chainsaw files as the hole is too large. No problem, I have a bucket full of other files that could use some handles.

Dont waste your time or money
Lightweight wood - steel collars not aligned - very poor quality only fit for garbage.Wouldnt last 2 minutes on a file or screwdriver
