This was a random purchase for my nephew who loves all animals. We were laughing after coming across the blobfish and we learned a bit more about it and it's life. This toy was purchased on a whim, but was very much appreciated by him. It is soft and huggable and just a nice plush!

I originally came across this hilariously adorably ugly "BLOBFISH" stuffy but searching for any "cat" related items. Because the name of this item is Avocatt Cute Blobfish Plushie Toy - 10 Inches Stuffed Animal Plush - Plushy and Squishy Blob Fish with Soft Fabric and Stuffing - Cute Toy Gift for Boys and Girls, it was a pleasant surprise (though decidely NOT a cat).It's super soft, very VERY cuddly, and so funny to look at. Blobfishies are just not that attractive, as you can see, but he has gotten comments about his blown up lips and "so ugly it's cute" kind of appearance.For the price point, (currently $21.99), I do think this is overpriced as it's smaller than most stuffies we get. However, I love the look and he gets plenty of comments and is therefore a great conversation starter with patients! Highly recommend, though maybe try to snag it on sale, as $14.99 would be a more palatable and appropriate price in my opinion.

I discovered blobfish when my son, who loves animals, checked out a book of unusual pink animals from the library. There was the blobfish, with its adorably sad, squashed face, somehow inducing the "Awww" reflex in spite of its gelatinous texture.With this plush fellow, you won't have to worry about hugging a big blob of pinkish Jell-O. He's super soft, with a velvety texture and charmingly smooshed features. You'll want to give him a hug right away to cheer him up! A whimsically weird plush companion for yourself, or an unexpected gift for someone who's feeling down in the dumps.

Officially, I bought this for my five year old son, since he likes squishy stuffies. In reality, I think I may have bought this for myself, because come on, it's a SQUISHY BLOBFISH! How can you not love that face? I'm always skeptical about buying stuffed anything online, because I've gotten criminally bad stuffed animals in the past. This does not fall into that category.It's packaged in a nice giftable box (instead of being just thrown in an envelope), wrapped in a protective plastic bag. I was pleased to find it looked just as adorably awkward as it does in the photos, and the correct size (it was actually a little bigger than I expected).The construction and stitching are good quality, on par with a stuffed animal that you'd find in a normal retail store. Again, since it's a squishy, it's made of an elastic fabric with very soft stuffing (think squishmallows).Overall, both kiddo and I are very happy with this purchase and have spent the past hour flinging it at each other across the room. Highly recommended for any squishy collector or blobfish fan!
