Used this as a straight swap for a thermonet underfloor heating controller. The wiring diagrams do not actually explain how to wire an external floor temp sensor but the diagram on the device itself is clear enough. So far it has joined my wifi no trouble and looks fantastic (in white anyway!) . No issues other than instructions are very lightweight and so this could do with a support forum somewhere.I am not using the enclosed sensor I am using the one that was already installed under my floor, so obviously was a bit worried as to whether that is a good idea. So far.. seems good.Observations from the smart life app :- I needed to set "Sensor Choose" to "Outside" (obviously means Outside the Controller, aka External / underfloor temp sensor)- Output startup temperature difference means the amount of overshoot (hysteresis) on the first heating cycle so if you set the temp to 20 and this is at 1 degree, it won't click off on the first pass until 21 degrees before it then goes on and off around 20 degrees.- I currently have temperature correction at +1.5 degrees and have left the sensor limit at 60. This is calibration, unclear if I have it right, time will tell.Love that I can dim the backlight or have it turn off and with it being smart life I am looking forward to using timed events to ensure I save energy. The controller it replaced (thermonet) was the sort where you need the instruction manual handy every time you go near it. Now we have smart phone setup ! brilliantOrdered another one :)The way the face plate clips on is OK but with the plastic tabs if I need to service anything regularly these might break. The thermonet it replaced had a grub screw underneath.Dropped a mark for ease of use because of the (expected tbh) scant instructions. I think if you are confident enough to be changing one of these you already don't need the instructions - the worst area really is around the settings for temp sensing.

Seemed like a bargain but then the 'buy cheap, buy twice' rule came into effect.We have a 9m2 bathroom with 2 circuits to heat the floor. Initially this unit was great & all the floor heated up fine - used about 5 times in a holiday home floor heated to 25c.Sure the Tuya app -> Google home app stuff needs a little technical finesse but wasn't a big hurdle at all. Was able to turn on/off remotely with ease.Then about a month after installing one of the circuits failed to heat up.In investigation: -I reopened the unit to check the wiring - nothing loose or burnt looking.No damage to floor or wiring.Placed back on old non-wifi unit & both circuits work again.So something stopped working in this thermostat... I guess we need to buy something a little more robust/expensive :(
