Great Cookbook with Wonderful Meal Ideas
I have to say I love this cookbook. I have had many cookbooks over the years but I really like this one a lot. It is updated with the latest healthy advisements. The book provides you with some overview information at the front. The recipes are divided into meal suggestions for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. What is great about this book is that it uses new and healthy ingredients in very easy to follow recipes. The best thing is that each and every recipe has a full page photo which is helpful so you can see what the meal should look like. There are so many recipes in here that I want to try!!! Also, each recipe gives you the nutritional value per serving. I've been cooking for many many years, and I will find many things to love in this cookbook. It would also be good for any new cook just starting out. The directions are easy to follow and there is a list of ingredients for each recipe. There are also tips provided throughout the book. Beautiful cookbook and it would make a great gift.

Simply Healthy with eclectic pairings
Has many updated healthy facts and while the book is packed full of healthy meal recipes and ideas it is definitely more geared to the eclectic kitchen. The recipes pair some interesting ingredients that are not your traditional idea of a “simple” recipe. Still very interesting and gives you a large assortment of ideas that you can either use as they are presented or use bits and prices of to add to your own plate style.

Mostly Vegan
The title of this cookbook was its attraction, but when I looked through it I discovered most of the recipes were vegan. (I wanted to know what more I could do with ground beef!) So, I exchanged it for a more diverse Good Housekeeping volume.

Inspiring and practical
I recently read that a study showed that 93% of Americans don't know whether they're eating healthy foods or not. This book starts off with a clear, honest, simple explanation of what they mean by healthy food. It covers "the plate method" of balanced eating, good and bad fats and carbs, and lots of easy tips for changing to a more nutritious diet. Then there are recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and desserts. Each recipe has a beautiful full-color photo, a list of ingredients, step by step instructions, and icons showing if it is gluten free, etc.The ingredients are fresh, and some may be new (quinoa and edamame, for example), but there are lots of familiar dishes made in new ways. Roasted Chicken and Garlic Potatoes with Red Pepper Relish, Hot Honey-Roasted Salmon and Radishes, and Grilled Broccoli should be easy to introduce to most families, and then you can expand to more exotic dishes. Each recipe includes nutrition information.

An effect cookbook that can jumpstart a healthier lifestyle
In this day and age there is always some new diet or trendy way of eating. Regarding something like weight loss, those above mentioned things always seem to fall short and quickly at that. The key isn't some fast choice, but rather a continuous adjustment to diet and lifestyle. I can appreciate a cookbook like this one for a few key major points: simplicity, efficiency, taste, and variety. When it comes to food and cooking as a whole, the more color you see on your plate the more enjoyable things can become. I founds various recipes inside to not only be appealing visually but also with common purchasing power in mind. Most household kitchens will have every ingredient needed excluding a protein or two to make anything inside this cookbook. Great purchase for cooks looking to expand their culinary knowledge, as well as those who just want suggestions.

Pictures for all the recipes, easy ingredients, and nutritional facts. Flavorful and healthy meals!
Good Housekeeping: The Simply Healthy CookbookI'm a NC girl who loves a diet of lots of vegetables, fruits, fish, lean meats, and tofu. I cook 95%+ of our family meals and avoid highly processed foods (boxed or frozen prepared meals). I love desserts sweetened with honey, dates, maple syrup. If this sounds a little like you, you're going to love this cookbook. The recipes are simple for anyone who is comfortable in the kitchen. They are very healthy and I love that they have the nutrition facts for each recipe (calories, etc.). There's notations with images for foods that are gluten free, vegetarian, etc. There are breakfast, lunch, dinner, sides, snacks, dressing and dessert recipes.
