This is a great bank for people of all ages. I ordered this for my teenage son who had loads of coins sitting in a duffel bag under his bead. We spent the better part of an hour putting all of the coins in the bank (nice mother-teenage son bonding activity), watching the savings add up. Thus far he has over $78 of coins and this generously sized bank is only about 1/6th of the way full. The counting mechanism is spot on. It's an easy set up with a tiny screw driver and 2 AAA batteries, and for a teenage boy's room, the look fits in well (I ordered the blue). So far an excellent purchase!

Storing coins

I had a little confusion when it came as the picture on the box was the smaller bottle they sell, but was very happy it was exactly what I ordered inside. Screw driver is an awesome inclusion to open the battery hatch, and set up was simple and straightforward.However, the reason I didn't give a full 5 stars is the accuracy of the coin counter. Every now and again it didn't register a dime, nickel, and/or penny. Other times it would confuse the dime and pennys. It was pretty rare though, and typically when adding too quickly. With every larger coin though it's performance was flawless.Otherwise this jar has a sleek appearance, is a sturdy quality, and overall great value for the price. Also love blue around the lid, it was more vibrant then I expected.

This bank made saving money so much fun for my grandson! In 25Hours he has already saved 29$ . He was overjoyed. He now know the value of saving money !

I got this bank to replace another child’s safe style bank that broke the first day. The digital counting hardware is very primitive and limited. You have to slowly put the coins in or it will miscount. Very slowly. Even the best of children will not have the patience to do that. I didn’t have the patience to wait. When adding dollar bills you must add them manually. If you have children, you already know from this review that this is probably not the bank you want to get.I don’t recommend this because the electronics can’t do the one job, which is counting the money that is put in.

This is not as large as I thought and after we had about $100 in coin in it, it broke and quarters were registering as nickels. They did replace it so we will see how long this one lasts.
