Amazon Basics White Down Alternative Comforter and Duvet Insert with Corner Tabs (King, Light)

It certainly doesn't feel like down and is a lot more flat than I assumed but it is stuffed nicely. I'm not a fan of the fabric it comes in, feels cheap, however with a duvet cover on, it feels great! It's a nice soft feeling. Perfectly light but enough to keep you warm. The price is honestly unbeatable for what it is. Much nicer than any other comforter (aside from real down - which is a personal favorite) I've ever felt.Works as a great cheap alternative for my guest room while still feeling fairly luxurious.With the way it's stuffed, I probably wouldn't machine wash this on a setting that would toss it too much or dry it in a dryer. It'll definitely get lumpy. Beware of that.Otherwise, I'm very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend WITH a duvet cover.

The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: Holy shedding!! Don’t plan on wearing black anything if you don’t have a duvet cover on this blanket! Washing consistently does mitigate things, so keep that in mind if you have darker sheets. After two months, filling is starting to shift, however, things even out after a wash and dry - I decided to keep the delicate/air dry for one and fully dry on a low cycle for the other. Fully drying it on a low cycle does result in a little more poof, but it’s starting to show some wear. The one that goes in for 15 on delicate and air dries looks like new. Nothing huge or noticeable by anyone but picky me, and honestly expected for this price point. Still very satisfied with these items and expect long term use. Note: Video review was completed prior to actual use, so performance is covered here.Dimensions - True to size on length. Short 1” on length, but not a big deal to me.Texture - Extremely soft! I was very surprised as I was expecting a cheap cotton-like feel but it’s much silkier.Weight - The best way to describe it is soft and light, yet with substance.Composition/Build Quality - Full box stitch all the way through body, and double-stitch PLUS piping on edges as well as tab for use as insert.Measurement - The description says 102x90”, though I got 101x90”. That doesn’t matter to me though, it covers my 13” thick mattress on ALL sides, unlike the $40 comforter I just bought from another company that claimed the same measurement.Performance - After washing twice (cold delicate) and drying (delicate/finish with air dry) there have been no loose threads, pulled stitching, or compromise in quality. I’m a cold sleeper and my husband is a hot sleeper. He still, for some reason, won’t sleep with just a sheet and needs “something”. This works perfectly for both of us, though I still use a quilt on top of the comforter...I’m a reeeeally cold sleeper. Not even the high-end hotel comforters keep me warm! My hubby loves this thing and says it’s perfect; not too hot and not too heavy. So, it not only costs half the price for a comparable product, it also has settled marital disputes! If it could only fix snoring...Overall this is, unquestionably, a sound purchase decision. Based on quality I do expect it to hold up well over time but will update as time goes by. I highly recommend this comforter and will be buying one for every bed in this house as well as for gifts!I hope this was helpful, and please note I was not compensated, nor did I receive a discount. ALONE OR INSIDE A DUVET, THIS IS AN EXCELLENT CHOICE!!! THE PRICE IS GREAT AND THIS COMFORTER IS SO FLUFFY AND WARM. WASHES BEAUTIFULLY! I PURCHASED THE WHITE AND IT IS TRULY BRIGHT WHITE.....LOOKS GREAT ON MY BED AND WILL KEEP ME TOASTY WARM IN THE WINTER....THANKS AMAZON!!!

I read so many reviews before I made a decision and I do not regret choosing this comforter! I like a heavier comforter- weight helps me sleep. This one has good weight. I washed it before I used it - cause ewww if you don’t!- and it fluffed right up. As you can see in the pic the corner fluffed more than the center, but the center is still fluffy. I haven’t slept with it yet but I’m really looking forward to it. Buy this one!

I’d give it 5 stars but it’s missing tie points in the middle, only has them in the corners. Outside of that it is the coziest duvet insert I’ve ever had! It makes my bed so cozy I can’t hardly get up in the morning!

I love this comforter. I previously had a feather down comforter that was horrible in comparison. This one is light and soft. It fits my duvet perfectly, stays in place, and doesn’t bunch up inside the duvet. I wish I had bought this years ago and saved myself the hassle of my old one.

Needed a decent inexpensive comforter for a duvet. Didn’t expect much for the price but surprisingly it seems to be very nice quality and it’s very soft. Not even sure I want to stuff it into the duvet now. Washed it immediately since there was a slight chemical odor to it. Washed very well and fits easily into a top loader.

No es malo el precio, pero a la semana de uso le salieron bolitas de pelusa y ni se habia lavado. Será un producto muy delicado o de baja calidad.

En fotos no se puede apreciar lo cómodo que es. Si tiene suficiente relleno y es muy suave. Tenía dudas de pedirlo porque no encontraba las suficientes reseñas. Pero con esta les digo que no se van a arrepentir. El precio es muy justo con la calidad que recibes; es algo grueso pero no llega a ser caluroso. Fresco y agradable.

I absolutely looove this duvet! I bought another one prior to this one that had feathers and it was about 150$ and has to return it as it was too noisy and not fluffly and not worth the price.I ended up buying this one instead and if I would have known before, I would have ordered this one the first time! It's the perfect amount of fluffy and so comfortable to sleep with and the price is great!! I'm very picky with my blankets and Iove this one. Nice and warm.It's not filled with feathers but it's filled out very well evenly and make zero noises like the other one I previous bought (other brand).Highly recommend!
