AMAZING VALUE!! 🔥
The media could not be loaded. This is a fantastic couch guitar. I got this because I wanted a guitar that I can bring along with me everywhere, a cheap guitar that I can just throw in the car without worrying too much about damage.PLAYABILITYFirst thing I did when I got it was to adjust the action. A couple turns on the truss rod and it is easy to play. I did not have to file the saddles. I'm so glad this had a truss rod.SOUNDThis has a bright, forward, twangy, almost nasally sound. Because of its size, it is missing some low end. Some people may not like that sound but I actually kind of like it. It is perfect for that folk guitar sound, slide guitar, gypsy jazz, blue grass ish kind of music.LOOKSWhat can I say? It's a pretty guitar!SIZEPart of the reason I got this was because I wanted to use it in the car while waiting to pick up my kids in school. The small size is perfect.PRICEConsidering the playability and the sound, this has amazing value. I would buy one again if I lost mine.TUNINGThe only problem I have with this is the tuners. It can hold the tuning when I'm playing but I do have to retune more often than I would like to. I think the tuners can be easily replaced though.Even with the tuning problem, I'm still giving it 5 stars because of the amazing value. The tuners can be easily replaced anyway.

Great deal
I like this guitar. It does what it was designed go do: replicates 1930-1950 Parlor guitars. It soundsreally good. Buy it you won't regret it.

Awesome Guitar
This is a great parlor guitar. I have a few single O's and this little fellow is fun. The build quality is spot on. No shipping damage at all, and the neck needed no adjustments even after I put extra lights on it.The neck has a nice feel to it and I have pretty big hands. The frontier stain is the reason I bought this because I wasn't a fan of the matte black paint on the sides and back of the other Jim Dandy's.For the price I assure you it won't disappoint. Get one and enjoy!

Unique tone
This Jim Dandy has a very unique and rustic tone which was the reason I bought it. For those that don't really know... this guitar was designed to kinda have a 19th century American tone (early West Virginia maybe). The basswood is probably what gives it that tone. The shorter scale makes for lighter feel, and lighter sound projection too. Oh, it looks nice too.

Nice guitar for the money
Well made, sounds pretty good, comfortable to hold and play. Action a little high, will try to adjust truss rod. A small rough patch around edge of sound hole missing stain. Otherwise, a beautiful blemish free finish. I own a Taylor and bought this to take it camping and on the road vs my $2000- Taylor.
