Does not work straight out of the box
I've been using these solar pumps for 5 years in my bird bath. They eventually need to be replaced, but this one wasn't working straight from the box. The sun had already moved to the other side of the house, so the bird bath is in the shade. To make sure the pump's solar feature works, I placed it in the sun. The pump turned on. The next few days, even when direct sun was on it, nothing.I made sure the water was clean, nothing was obstructing the filter, there was enough water, and there was plenty of direct sunlight. It's what I've been doing for 5 years. Nothing.Purchased one from a different company. Straight from the box, to my shady fountain and it's working as all my past ones have. Direct sun or indirect sun, unless there's no daylight, the other companies I've purchased from have worked. Not this one.

Not worth it
What a shame, it won't stay suction cupped so it floats around and it tosses the water out of the fountain by shooting the water up and out. Not happy with it
