Renewed the hood lift perfectly on Volvo S60
We have a 2001 S60 and the hood would not stay up. Replacing these shocks was easy and works well. Very strong resistance now.

Great Replacement Hood Supports
Bought these hood supports for my 2004 Volvo XC 70. They were relatively easy to install and worked great. These hood supports are inexpensive and easy to install.

Worked perfectly, easy install
Worked very well on my 2006 Volvo S60R which has only one strut on the driver's side. I bought these originally since I was going to install a new hood bracket with attachments for a second one on the passengers side but ended up just installing one. They snap right on (unless you have super human pinch strength I'd recommend using some extendable pliers of some sort. Work great. Similar diameter to the factory version but I know some people buy a very heavy duty version since there's only one on these cars. Installation took 2 minutes (mostly spent getting the old one off while balancing hood on my head).

Did not fit
Even though Amazon said they would fit, the overall length of these were about 1/2" shorter than the stock ones. Installed one and when it was extended all the way, hood was nowhere near the height it should've been. That being said, the one I installed was extremely easy to install. Wish they would've fit.

Perfect fit, good price.
Fits great, just have a rubber matter to knock the old ones off and you can have these installed in a couple of seconds, they just push on. No more chance of getting whacked in the back of the head by the hood.
