Worked great when I rebuilt my Delta ras

This has been more helpful than I even imagined. It is probably the best addition to my miter saw station. I have 6' benches on both side of my miter saw with a fence the full lenght of each bench. This tape has allowed me to easily set stop blocks for repetative cuts as well as quickly lay down boards and cut very accurately. As with any measuring tool, it is only as accurate as the operator. If using this on a miter saw station as I have, be sure to take your time when placing the tape down. I only wanted this tape to be on the bench top, not on the aluminum surface of the miter saw, so my tape actually starts around 13"s rather than 0. I took my time when setting this and my tape is easily within 1/32". I will soon be purchasing a Left to Right reading tape of the right hand side of my bench.This is a cheap product for the quality and amount of time it saves me. My only complaint, if you can call it that, is that sometimes short boards can catch the lip of the tape since it doesnt sit flush with the bench top. The only rememdy for this would be to router a slot for the tape to lay in. This was more work than it's worth. And to be honest, it doesn't catch boards often and I cant' imagine it ever pulling the tape up. I only wanted to mention this to be sure I gave a fair review. In reality, that does not speak to the quality of the product, only my application of the product.If I ever wear the paint off this one where it can no longer be accuratley read, I will without hesitation purchase another.

These are great but I wish I could get one in a 4' size just so I don't have to waste all that product. I used one a few years ago for a miter saw station. Recently upgraded my station and purchased this for it. I could have used the old one - when I pulled it off, there was still adhesive on it, but it curled a bit and I decided against it.It will slide into a standard T-track, but i lined it up at the base of my saw fence because I feel that it's more precise.This is a good quality, heavy duty item. I will purchase again.

I used the Starret Measuring Tape to replace the old tape on my Delta Unisaw.There is a recess on the rail of the Unisaw that provides for a 3/4" tape but unfortunately I could not find a Right to Left 3/4" tape but as it happens this 1/2" tape is very easy to read.Its a metal tape so extremely durable.The adhesive backing works perfect and I was able to lay the tape down perfectly flat.The first foot of the tape has 1/32" graduations which is great to help precision cuts.GREAT PRICE: at only $7 at the time of this purchase this tape is a real bargain especially for a 12' tape. So I didnt feel so bad since I only needed to use the ist 3ft of the tape:)

I bought this at the same time I bought the Komelon F12. This is an excellent choice if you are looking to replace your table saw's fence or your yardage table's measuring line. I was making some prototypes and bought the Komelon and the Starret. I routed-out a shallow channel for the tape and adhered it to wood. Several months later, the tape has not lifted, curled, or bubbled-up anywhere. The numbers are crisp against the white background, and easier to read than the Komelon. Where the Komelon might be a challenging read in poor light, the larger numbers on the Starrett are easier to read in poor light. Between the two, I might prefer the Starrett for the larger numbers, but the Komelon's in-between measure marks are sometimes easier to recognize. In both products, the lengths in-between the one inch measures are not numerated. The application is the thing.

I got this to put on my fabric cutting table. I created my cutting table from 36" high shelfs, 1/2" mdf board and a 70" long rotary cutting matt. I had to flip my rotary cutting matt around because I'd worn one side ragged.. by doing this, the printed measure stix was on the opposite side of my cutting table... So I bought this and stuck it along the edge of my cutting table and now I have a measure stix again! It's actually stuck to the wood topper I use under my roatry cutting matt, which isn't finished, just mdf board, and this product is stuck like glue! Couldn't be happier with it.. Also, koodo's to Amazon.. I didn't recieve my order (it was to be shipped with something else but apparently just didn't get stuck in the box), and when I contacted Amazon, they shipped me out another one with one day shipping so I had it the next day.. Thank you Amazon!

When i was first building my shop i decided that having a fence with a built in measuring feature would be nice so along comes the Starrett. now i may be a little biased as most of my measuring tools are Starrett because they have proven to be extremely accurate for me and this tape is no exception. I bought a few of these in various sizes to throw on my miter saw station, router table and even as a replacement for the tape on my table saw. The adhesive is great and keeps the tape flat to the surface and as i said before they are accurate, i have compared these to other measuring tools i have and all read the same which is always important. so if you are in need of an adhesive tape measure look no further.

Very well made. Clear writing on the tape. Great adhesive.Only problem I had was that I needed the tape to conform to a two inch diameter pipe, and this tape is strong and thick metal that springs back to flat instead of holding the curve against the pipe.I put it on the front rail of a Vega Table Saw Fence http://www.amazon.com/Vega-U50-Table-Fence-System/dp/B00002261ZIt is working fine and holds great, but when I cut the tape to size it left sharp corners. That's made much worse by the fact that the tape is flat on a round surface and the corners are like points on a blade. I sanded them down some, but it's not ideal.5 stars anyway because it's a quality product. But be aware it won't conform to any shape but flat.
