Great touchpad for media center use.
As my Logitech k830 died I was looking to upgrade my media center experience. Enter the LTC it has a larger surface and numpad option and decoupled the trackpad from the keyboard so I was given the ability to get a much better keyboard. The trackpad itself is well built be going into it. When you double tap or switch modes you get a nice level of feedback that to me is jo device and my host were kind of picky about talking with each other. My guess is that if you live in a location with less competing Bluetooth devices you will have a significantly better experience. As it is the touchpad would time out before I could make it to it in the list of devices causing some frustration. All in this is a great device and I wholly recommend it.

Very nice portable trackpad; Annoying Vibrating Numpad
Good quality trackpads (or touchpads) are extremely difficult to find for Windows users. I have found a good one several years ago that I really like, but when I tried to buy it again recently, it was no longer available. When I came across this device I was very excited because it looked very promising. I don't really need a numpad, since I primarily use a full size keyboard, but I thought the fact this device had two modes was pretty impressive. When the device arrived, I immediately plugged it, so it was fully charged before I used it. It likely arrived at least partially charged, so the initial charge was fairly quick. There is a small red LED when it's charging. This LED turns green when it's fully charge.Pairing the device to my PC for the first time was pretty simple as well. Like most Bluetooth devices, to enter pairing mode, you just need to hold the power button until a blue LED starts flashing. The LED stopped flashing pretty quickly and my pairing failed. I tried it again and it worked fine that time. The trackpad function is pretty straight forward. All of gestures that are advertised worked properly on the first attempt. I'm familiar with all of the gestures, so I'm comfortable performing them. If you're not familiar with these gestures, it may take a few tries to get them right. Nonetheless, the device responded appropriately when I did the gestures. In fact, it's fairly sensitive. It accidently touched a 3rd finger on the surface while using the 2-finger scrolling, and it immediately recognized it as a 3-finger gesture. That's all the good, now here's the bad.The vibrating. Oh my, the vibrating. When you switch to the numpad (long press on the calculator icon), it does a short vibration to acknowledge the mode switching. This seems perfectly normal. However, with every subsequent keypress on the numpad, the device vibrates.Right now, you may thinking, "well my phone vibrates when I'm texting or when I select something on the screen." (aka "haptic feedback") This is not that kind of vibration. I'm guessing that was the intent, but the vibration motor is much too powerful. The vibration is closer to the vibration of your phone if you get an alert or text message. It's very strong, and it's long enough that it bleeds into the next key press, so it's vibrating almost continuously while you're using it. (see video and turn up your volume)I don't see any way to disable this vibrating short of taking the motor out. I don't plan on using the keypad at all, as I mention above. However, this is HUGE factor to consider, if you're interested in getting this because of the numpad feature. Finally, the only instructions in the box were German. I was able to find a more detail instruction manual online. In closing, this feels like a very good trackpad at a good price. I'd recommend it, if you don't need the numpad.Quick update: I took the device apart and disconnected the vibration motor (less than 5 minutes). See photos.

Doesn’t use Windows settings
RETURNING THE PRODUCTThe build quality is nice, just wish the touchpad used the windows settings because the numpad would be nice from time to time, ie when I need to type an ALT character to get the German ü.Tried to setup the touchpad on all of my systems using the supplied USB C to USB A cable, but kept getting an error that the device had malfunctioned. I sent an email to the only address I could find on their website or in the manual, business@ltcofficial.com, and filled out the contact us page on the website. They replied back late that night, asked if I had tried multiple cables and ports, and if not to try multiple and see what happened. I had tried multiple ports across my computers, but had to hunt down another USB C2A cable, and voila once I hooked up the new cable the touchpad connected and just worked as a mouse and what little I used on the numpad. On a side note, and it’s just more of an annoyance than anything, but when I emailed them I told them in all caps that I could not try to connect the touchpad via Bluetooth and could only use USB. When they replied their second sentence asked me to try wireless mode 😡Now with my biggest issues, the fact that the touchpad does not use the windows touchpad settings.#1 The touchpad scrolling does not line up with the settings in Windows and there doesn’t appear to be a way to change that. Windows default in setting is “down motion scrolls up,“ but the touchpad only does “down motion, scrolls down,” no matter the setting in Windows.#2 There are NO 4 finger gestures. I knew I didn’t see them when I saw the screenshots on Amazon, but was hoping it was an documentation oversight because I use that for switching desktops currently, and 4 finger gestures are in the touchpad settings in Windows. To me NOT using the default Windows touchpad settings does not make sense, especially the scrolling.FYI there is not a right click “button” other than using a 2 finger tap. Not a huge deal just noting for whoever reads this.

Works very well and as advertised.
I broke my right wrist and couldn't handle a mouse very well so bought this to assist in that regard and I have to say it's making a huge difference! My fingers stick out the end of my cast so I can use this for mouse navigation, both left click (1 finger tap) and right click (2 finger tap) functions as well as drag and drop (single finger 2 tap hold) and of course Windows gestures. I think I'll probably never use the number pad feature but if I do I'll open it and disconnect the "haptic" motor like another reviewer here did.Mine is a special use case but I anticipate I'll still like these features after I'm out of my cast so I highly recommend this for anyone in the same boat or just wanting to try a touchpad for Windows. Also, the surface is a very well suited aluminum that works great.
