This knob is made of a nice metal material. It installed in just a few seconds. WeThis is the best mod I've done to the truck. So well thought out and looks better than factory knob. You won't be disappointed with this purchase.

This thing is so cool. You wouldn’t think that adding a black cover over the silver one that comes with the truck would make a big different but it just makes the whole console look better. Now I have a uniform black look all the way around the console instead of a big silver wheel on the front of the screen.

If you have a Lightning with the 15" screen you might be wondering why you even need this. Basically, it turns the flimsy plastic dial into a metal one. It adds much needed tactility and a rugged look and once you put it on you will never take it off. i got the black and I prefer that look on my Platinum Lightning than silver.It's very well made, solid piece, was surprised at how hefty it feels in the hand. Bonus points in that it also comes with a nice little zippered travel pouch to store it in. However, I don't plan on ever removing it from the dial so I'm using the pouch to store a USB charging cable.As stated in the description it's easy to pop on or off and doesn't do any damage to the original dial. Easy and recommended way to make your truck a little different than the rest!

Originally, I thought this cover would replace the OEM knob but it does not do that. Instead, it covers the OEM knob. It is very easily installed, just push it on over the OEM knob, and can be easily removed. It comes with a carrying case and a spare faux velvet liner for the inside of the cover; it's the faux velvet liner that makes the cover easy to install and remove. I like size of the cover as it increases the control knob size and does not interfere with the GUI. The only nit pick I have is that it took quite a while for this part to be delivered to my house; at least several weeks.

Got the black one and it looks and feels great. I like the added weight. I seriously ordered thinking for sure I’d be returning but I’m pleasantly pleased.
