The innovative Deuce – the ultra-light shovel for backpacking toilets is available in three models, each varying in thickness, size and weight – but all are super lightweight and made from extremely strong aviation grade 7075-T6 aluminium produced in the USA. No.1 - 0.5oz, 6.5" x 2.4" - For Weight Fanatics Only: for those who are willing to keep up minimalist with their gear to get the most out of it (be sure to refer to the instructions in the photo section). No.2 - 17g, 6.8" x 2.5": the upgraded version of our incredibly popular potty scoop, our original, groundbreaking shovel that was the first in the world to be used upside down for difficult floors (see Advanced Techniques photo above). No.3 - 27.5g, 8 x 2.6 inch: our largest shovel - bigger and stronger, a real animal that can dig and pry easily, quickly and comfortably, even in difficult rocky terrain. Yet it weighs a fraction of what other large scoops weigh. Upgraded Design: All novelty Deuce potty scoops feature four teeth on the front edge of the blade and are just right for cutting small roots you encounter at the bottom of your hole and making progress in hard clay (a type of soil that's annoying to anything but a pickaxe). The teeth are also serviceable on site - you can resharpen them with a stone. Also new is the handle with small shafts to improve friction and grip. About our manufacturing: Please note that some colors and models are made in the USA and some in Korea by DAC (the leading tent pole manufacturer in the world). The quality is exactly the same, regardless of where your Deuce is made. A quick look at the photo or colour name will show you where exactly the selected model/colour was made. At The TentLab we include the production site because we pride ourselves on being 100% honest and transparent.
