Does what it says on the tin!
Excellent, handy packaging, clear instructions and compact and easy to store. Still have over two thirds left after filling a gap in the window frame about 25cm long ranging from 1.5cm-0.5cm thick. Goes off very quickly especially in warmer weather - did two smaller batches to ensure I didn’t waster any.

WARNING - DO NOT USE ON A WARM DAY!
WARNING - DO NOT USE ON A WARM DAY!SHORT STORY:PROS: The 2 Part High Performance Wood Filler does set very hard, and makes a good, waterproof repair. So hard, in fact, that I had to drill pilot holes in those repaired areas, to get the decking clamp self-tapping screws into it.CONS:Very expensive, for the amount you get.It sets ridiculously fast, which makes it difficult to work with. If EverBuild could slow down the setting time, so that you have at least five minutes to complete the repair, it would be a good and useable product.Due to to fast curing time, it is very difficult to remove the filler from tools and your hands.FYI: I always use Methylated Spirits, which removes an amazing amount of different products, including permanent marker ink.LONG STORY:I normally find EverBuild products to be very good, and value for money.Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for their 2 Part High Performance Wood Filler, because you don't get very much for your money. The first time that I tried to use it, the ambient temperature was 21°C, and it began to harden, in less than a minute. Even at 18-19°C, it still hardens ridiculously quickly. The 150mm x 50mm wooden beams on my raised decking platform that I was repairing, extend out over my 6m x 5m x 1.4m fish pond, and it would have been very difficult to remove the the outer double beams, c/w composite decking plank facings, and LED lighting that I had installed, to replace them. Consequently, I was forced to attempt an in-situ repair. I'm not sure why this individual timber rotted, when the adjacent ones didn't. C'est la vie.The EverBuild Wood Hardener that I used prior to the wood filler, didn't really harden the wood, any better than the Barrettine Wood Preserver that I used to treat wooden timbers, and it's much more expensive per litre. Due to this disappointing and expensive experience, I am now looking for alternative replacement products.

Shed door repaired
Our shed door started to disfigure as the original builders had omitted to seal and protect the ground-facing side of its boards. As a consequence, the wood has now started to rot and this has affected the hinges. In my opinion we were ready for a new set of doors.. which would be costly. However my painter, while doing a refreshing window frame paint job, was more relaxed and said that he had dealt with such issues many times. A sound two-component wood filler would do the trick. He recommended this Everbuild brand. There are several attractive features to this brand; its dries quickly (within 30 minutes) in a water/weather proof manner and is then strong enough to be drilled and hold screws. And then it can be painted over with much ease. The components are easy to mix and easy to apply. Though I would recommend to only mix, say 1cm x 2 cm 1cm amounts at a time as larger quantities will start to harden before you put it in place.I was actually amazed how hard it sets. The lower parts of my shed doors have been solidified, plastified or petrified, if you wish. I’m more worried about the remaining wood parts that might be affected by weather conditions over time. But a proper coating and the reinforcement of the weakest parts should prevent this.Unlike other reviews, I had little trouble sanding it when fully hardened, but you can also remold and straighten soon after the initial 30 minutes. The only thing is that I fear that the little tube with hardener will run out after I’ve used only half of the brown paste.Overall this is a really great product. Not cheap and I will need much more for the second house abroad that has some unhinged, rotting shed doors. But much cheaper than replacing the doors or the entire sheds. Will keep some in store for likely future window frame repairs.

Just the job
Good stuff. Sets quickly and well.

Absolutely solid!
Quite difficult to work as very sticky with but goes off quickly and the finish can be improved by sanding. The end result is really solid though.

Works great.
You have to be quick between mixing and applying.Have plenty of cheap spatulas handy, since it is difficult to remove when set.If using a trowel of some sort, get ready to clean it quickly.Used mine to fill knot holes in new decking planks.Works a treat, sands down ok but does not accept decking paint very well.

Ideal
Idea for a wood filling.2 part mix. Works well and sets very quickly.Beware how much hardener you add.
