Never mind the red colour, this cable does the job. When I bought my new phone I started to have problems with Android Auto that I’d not experienced before, connections dropping out etc. with this cable all of those are gone. It isn’t just a cable for charging, it has a fast data transfer rate, and that is what has solved the problems. No hesitation in recommending this cable whatsoever

I recently forgot my iPad password after having to change it - unfortunately, a few weeks later I had forgotten it as I do not regularly use my iPad.I connected my iPad to my Mac using a USB-C to USB-A cable however my Mac would only charge my iPad, the Mac itself would not recognise that the iPad was connected nor would it show the device in finder or iTunes. I had tried multiple cables and still had the same issue therefore I spoke to Apple Care who advised I would probably need to go into the Apple store to complete the restore of my iPad.After doing some research, I found on the Apple Community website that someone had a similar issue like I was facing - what resolved it for them was using a high quality cable, so on my hunt for a cable I decided to do some research. Apple actually recommends Anker as brand and is one of their recommended brands when it comes to accessories.The cable worked as intended, instantly my Mac recognised my iPad and was able to restore it - I didn't really think that a cable would make much difference considering we tried multiple however I have learnt that when it comes to premium devices such as iPads/iPhones and Macs, is it really worth scrimping on cheap/budget cables. Suitable for charging and data transfer, supports fast charging.The cable is high quality - durable connectors either end which are protected to extend the lifespan, protecting from repeated bending.Highly recommended - will definitely be purchasing Anker cables again and replacing all of our old ones!

Ive never bought a decent cable before as Ive just managed with what Ive had laying around. This cable was purchased for a new car stereo as I had read that Android Auto didnt work too well with other leads. I bought this and found this worked fine. Android Auto still has issues where it drops out but I think this is due to a software glitch and not the cable.Ive used this cable for both data and charging and had no issues. Its made well, its thick and sturdy so youre getting what you pay for. Anker is a reputable make for computer accessories so you can trust that these people dont make nonsense. Worth the money and would get another without hesitation.One tip though, ensure the USB-C port on your device is clear of fluff. If you cut a triangle pointy bit off a pill card (such as paracetamol or ibuprofen packet - not the cardboard box, the pill packaging) then you can de-fluff your port without risk of shorting anything out. I found this cable didnt seat well in my phone until I de-fluffed it. After this I found it mated much more positively.
