Early days but seems an excellent product. Replaces a Brydge which was 'ok,' for 3 years but eventually could not handle Blue Tooth any more.These keyboards cost a fraction of the price of the Brydge.The Arteck also looks better, the Brydge has a stupid arrangement with rubber protectors for its metal Ipad holders which never fitted properly. This keyboard has a full width holder for the Ipad and its plastic so it holds firmly, looks neat and does not pose any scratch danger to your Ipad case.I thought about the durability of plastic but in fact the Arteck seems pretty strong and in fact most laptops I have owned over the past 30 years have had either plastic or rubberised casing not aluminum. The case looks very attractive and professional.The charging is via a fairly standard lead unlike Brydge which has a 'unique,' connection that unsettlingly never seems to fully click in.Keyboard is very nice, keys are very responsive, the weight is light and the grip and the angle of operation for the Ipad are all easily adjustable and it stays in place.Very good product - I hope first experiences continue as strongly and I feel it is a worthwhile recommendation.Note: The star ratings above reflect that 2 weeks of ownership does not enable battery life assessment and the touch screen rating is for the Ipad. The Arteck is rated as a BT keyboard!

I love this iPad keyboard/cover, it has made my iPad Air so much more than it was.I wish I had got it years ago!This keyboard does not take up any screen space, so you have the full screen at all times, unlike the virtual keyboard which obscures half of the screen when active. This makes the iPad so much more pleasant to use, and easier to work productively with.The keys have a good feel and I can type properly with it, without needing to look down at the keys, just like my desktop PC or laptop.Previously I would only use my iPad for a quick message or email, now I can actually type lots.Installing the keyboard is so simple - - slide the iPad into the case - press <On> button to switch the keyboard on - press <Connect> button on the keyboard to connect to iPad - press Settings | Bluetooth On on the iPad - press Bluetooth 3.0 Keyboard - done!The keyboard has a USB charging cable, it charged quickly. I could use it immediately with the cable attached.Within a few minutes it was charged enough for me to use it unplugged.The case looks metal but is actually a solid feeling type of plastic.The iPad stays open/up with ease, unlike the Apple case I have, which is not so robust.I love the way it looks, it turns my iPad into a MacBook mini-me!On top of that, I am so happy with Arteck's service.The product arrived damaged (by the delivery) so I messaged Arteck, with photos.The Arteck service team responded immediately and were friendly and helpful.They arranged a replacement and it arrived in under 24 hours!So, not just a great product, but a great service too - thanks so much Arteck.I could not recommend this highly enough.

The keyboard is a standard qwerty layout and is easy to use but it tends to lag a little prior to typing, once this lag has fought up the keyboard operates fine and is fairly sturdy. There are little vinyl strips in on the inside of the screen location lugs which came loose and i have superglued them in place and the little rubber feet have also come away. Other tan that the keyboard has only needed to be charged 3 times in the time i have owned it and given the amount of use it gets is really good. Good product for the money but there are better products if you are willing to spend the vast amount they want for them. However i have now updated this review to a 4 star for customer service as they have kindly sent me a new item as a replacement for the original. Great service, thanks

My third keyboard for my Ipad and this feels like the best value for money so far. Good responsiveness from the keyboard and overall a robust feel and good battery life. I don’t often take the ipad out from the holders but when I need to its easy to do. The last plus is that there is good responsive support. In the heat recently two of the four rubber ‘feet’ to the keyboard came unstuck and I lost them. I contacted Arteck and was told they would send replacements FOC but it might take a month or so. I was ok with this as the keyboard is useable without the two pads. The pads then turn up just 3 days later! You can’t say fairer than that.

Die Tastatur ist richtig toll! Ich habe nach einer Tastatur gesucht die aus meinem I Pad einen kleinen "Laptop" macht 😄 ich bin sehr positiv überrascht worden. Es tut genau das was es soll, ist sehr stabil, sieht gut aus, und hat einen guten Anschlag. 👍

This review is being written after a couple months of usage.BATTERY LIFE:First things first, the main reason I wanted to write this review was to let others know just how great the battery life is. I bought this just over three months ago and have only charged it once (which was the day I bought it). In total, the battery lasted for 96 days before the blue light started flashing which indicated it needed to be charged.This keyboard was used almost daily for University and it was never turned off unless I specifically needed the keyboard to be turned off (more on this later). I simply closed the "lid" as I would with a normal laptop and it would shut off by itself after a couple of minutes.BUILD:The build of the device is great. It looks premium but is made of plastic. Durability is great as there are minimal signs of wear on the exposed side. Keys have yet to wear out. One of the rubber feet have finally fallen off but not too bad all things considered.FUNCTIONALITY:Typing on this keyboard was the biggest learning curve. The keyboard is smaller than most so it took me a while to get used to it (< 1 month). One of the great things about the keyboard is that it puts the screen to sleep when you close the "lid", which was an unknown but great feature. Speaking of, closing and opening the "lid" has had no effect on the integrity of the hinge so another point for durability there.CONNECTION:This is the only part where I had problems but it's related to bluetooth itself, not the device. When using the keyboard alongside another bluetooth device, such as wireless headphones or a controller, the keyboard becomes unusable. Keys register at a rate which makes it useless to type and use wireless headphones at the same time so I have to turn off the keyboard when I use another bluetooth device. However, I found that this problem existed with other bluetooth devices (i.e. using controller + wireless headphones at the same time) so no star was deducted for that.SUMMARY:All things considered, it's pretty hard to find a keyboard with this great of a value. Its adjustable hinge, long battery life, and great build quality make it the best keyboard in this price range.

I love that it is hinged and it holds my iPad great. I can adjust to whatever angle I want. It’s lightweight, yet feels sturdy. The charge lasts a very long time also. It really turned my iPad into a mini laptop, which is nice as I don’t have a desktop or laptop. I was just using my phone for a few years until Ingot this iPad 5th generation on a Black Friday special November 2017. I ordered this keyboard shortly after. It connected easily. Lately though, it has been very hard to type on, adding extra periods in between words and the backspace button might go back one space, four, or not at all. I started spending as much time fixing things as I was getting anything done, so ended up using my phone for it. I read reviews on others, trying to figure out which one to order to replace this Artec. But I couldn’t find any I thought I’d like as well with the hinged lid. And when mine was working well, I loved it. So I looked at this one again and read several reviews. I read where someone was having the same problems and said they disconnected from their Bluetooth and then reconnected and that helped the problem. I tried that and it actually did help a lot! I used it for about an hour tonight and it was so much better! I did notice toward the end of using it tonight, it did start to give me a few problems, so I hope I won’t have to keep disconnecting and reconnecting it every night.Update:the very next day, the problem was back and gave up trying to type on it because it was taking more time to delete all the extra characters and capital letters in the wrong places.I still love the design of it, but I’m going to change my rating down another star because I can’t continue using it and get anything accomplished with these problems. Too bad, since I also liked that it was like a mini laptop with this style keyboard. New update: Well, I have to say Artek has great customer service. They saw my review and emailed me to let me know they would send me a replacement for free!Update: I did get the free replacement and it does work much, much better! I wasn’t surprised at how much heavier than the first one it was! But that’s okay with me. I pleased with the great improvement and the customer service.

Compared to the cases and keyboards for iPads available in the market, this one is a great solution for such an affordable price. I’ve long grown tired of keyboards with kickstands because they’re flimsy and you can’t really set the iPad on your lap or any surface other than a flat one. They take away from the portability and convenience. But using this keyboard helps the iPad function more like a laptop. It’s much sturdier and yet not that heavy.My only gripe is that the rubber padding where you insert the iPad can get out of place really soon and it takes away from the elegance.Other than that, this keyboard has helped me become productive and be able to quickly type away as soon as I pull out my iPad

This sturdy and attractive case converts the iPad into a mini laptop in appearance and ease of use. I like that the batteries are rechargeable, saving on the constant replacement of AA batteries for the keyboard I had previously. That keyboard was separate from the case, allowing it to approximate the size of a full keyboard. This keyboard and case has a smaller layout and has taken me a bit of time to adjust.I do a fair amount of zoom meetings where I prefer to mount the iPad into a small tripod. The previous case required a lot of finagling to separate from the iPad, but this case is excellent - just pull up from the alligator snaps and it's out.HIghly recommend this case, as long as you're okay with a mini-laptop keyboard size.
