It would be nice to be able to reprogram the brake/reverse functions myself
Bought two, running them off 7.2V to power some micro metal gear DC motors, both perform consistently well; no balance problems etc.It would be nice to be able to reprogram the brake/reverse functions myself, but I wasn't expecting to be able to based on the description.

As advertised, but needs improvement
I bought this ESC to test it against my 1:24 scale RC truck that has a small DC motor. I connected it to the motor and battery and the I realized there are no instructions to arm the ESC anywhere. I had to do a lot of googling around to see which code works best with this ESC. Till now I have not been able to find a good one.I had use my arduino nano as an oscilloscope to do some timing analysis of the PWM signal, but for now could not make any progress. Will update my review if I find something. But it is not the recommended product.
