These wheels are good

These are substantially made of substantial steel strapping and solid (no inflation required) rubber tires.After I finally got them installed, they worked well, but getting them to stay in place was no small task. The threads on the mounting U-bolts do not extend far enough toward the bend, which means I had to take a piece of 2x4 lumber and drill 5/8" holes through it to make a bolting shim so that I could tighten the wheel's clamping bracket to the gate frame. Without that adaptation, I don't believe it could be solidly fastened to any pipe of less than 2-1/4" diameter. The manufacturer needs to extend the threading on the U-bolt.

Installed on a 12' tubular cattle gate exactly like it's pictured on the product detail photo.....thickest part on top with the U-bolt underneath. We install wheels on all our gates for ease of opening and it takes pressure off the hinges for future sag.

Gate wheel works great. If you have an issue installing on 1 3/8” tubing insert a couple sockets (9/16 or 5/8 from harbor freight) as shown in photo to get it tight.

This wheel works wonderful on my gate! It is so good that I had to buy another one for my other gate.

I haven't installed yet. It is very straightforward. It appears sturdy and looks like it should last a long time.

VERY disappointed in the false sizing description. As per my headline -- The included U bolt does NOT fit a 1 3/8" pipe - WAY TOO LARGE, SHORT THREADED!!!! My gate pipe is 1 1/2" and the threads on the U bolt are not deep enough to clamp onto the pipe. I was able to attach it to the 90 deg corners with nary a thread remaining on the U bolt. Totally unsatisfactory - the install looks shabby and due to the wheel being at almost the very end of the gate, the gate will not completely close. Nice wheel I give it that, well constructed, but the U bolts are mislabeled or I was sent the wrong U bolt - and because it's already attached/mounted I can no longer return this item. If you have 1 1/2" pipe on your fence, this will not work and for this I cannot recommend. You cannot find (nor should you have to) another U bolt that will fit the wheel bracket and provide the PROPER amount of thread to tighten to a smaller pipe. Very disappointed, wasted money.
