Working great
Had it for a few weeks. So far it’s working great haven’t tried to load any new games yet because the amount of games preloaded is enough to last a very long time.

RG353V is awesome!
Yes, the Ambernic RG353V is awesome, but you already knew that. That's why you're here. So let me tell you about something that went wrong (and got fixed, fast) The RG353V is a dual boot system - Android and Linux. I like the Linux side because of EmulationStation (and easy access to RetroArch). But right out of the box the 16gb Linux card was corrupted (Android still worked though).Since my order was shipped by Amazon, I thought "no problem", but Amazon couldn't help me with a replacement card (they could replace the whole unit, but not a microSD card). So I asked for (and they gave me) the access info for the distributor, Ampown. In China. Oh boy. With a little trepidation, I gave it the old college try and messaged them. From that point on, things couldn't have gone any smoother. They understood the problem, and the solution, and sent out a replacement card within days. Express. From China. How do I know it was sent express? Well, I got the tracking number, but even more important, it arrived in about a week. And it worked perfectly.I know we roll our eyes sometimes when we hear "China" (I'm guilty of it as well) but I believe in giving credit where credit is due, so I'm giving a shoutout to Ampown Customer Service for getting the job done. And getting it done right (and fast). And with apologies (which wasn't necessary). Well done, guys!Just a quick word about cheap SD cards (and it's not just Ambernic, not by a long shot). While they usually work right out of the box (usually) always make an immediate backup copy (you know which brands of cards you trust). Don't just think about it, do it! I opted for a standalone -no PC req'd- solution for microSD card duplication. (What can I say, I like simple.) It's worth it just for the peace of mind.Lastly, I dealt with Ampown (they offered the 128gb ROM card which I wanted) which is only one of many RG353V distributors. Yours may be different. No matter the distributor, the RG353V really is awesome! A more powerful Rockchip (than the VS model) and more RAM to boot. IMO, definitely worth the extra money. --mg

Buy but only if its your first retro handheld
My first retro handheld. Its really enjoyable to play with. Its 3-stars because load times are bad. The Anbernic is a logo you'll get used to seeing. I have to update this review once I get GarlicOS installed on a SanDisk SD card
