Works for 2015 Chevy Malibu. Appears to be of same quality as the OEM.
These FOBs work well for a 2015 Chevy Malibu. But keep in mind the keys will need to be cut by a locksmith, and for me, that was expensive. I had both of the keys cut; the locksmith actually came to my residence and cut the keys while he was parked in my driveway. For the price, I maybe could have just gone to the dealership and gotten a new key from them. But, in any case, these have held up after a year of use, so I can't complain. And it's nice to have a pair.

Saved money and works great!
My old key fob was starting to fall apart, and I only had the one...so I needed to come up with something, and paying a few hundred at the car dealership was not my first choice! What a great option vs the expensive car dealership! I found a gent that programs these for the auto mall in town and took them to him to program for $20 for both! They are working great (after months of use), and haven't let me down! At first I checked with my local Ace who said they would program it for me...then changed their minds once I waited days for the guy that does the programing to come to work...so I was fortunate to find the gent that does them for the car dealerships (and Ace wanted to charge me $55 each!).I would suggest if you have the means to have them programed, or can figure it out via videos...get them! You save a lot of money this way!

Good but cannot swap key mechanism
They’re cheap but work. The key itself is not interchangeable with oem key so trying to swap over so you don’t have to go to the dealer is a no-go. You will need to have the key cut. They programmed well.

Not for a 2019 Impala
For clarity of explanation of programming, I highly recommend the YouTube video by PYR automotive, “How to Program a Chevrolet Impala Smart key Remote Fob”. Couldn’t be explained any better. Still it’s easy to fail (Don’t forget to use the Fob to lock the car to finish the procedure). Allow a lot of time. Still perseverance will be rewarded.I think I tried three times before I got it right, but the first try was according to a different instructor. In all about 2.5 -3 hours for me. That was okay this time because I was hanging out in the Walmart parking lot while the wife was shopping. Actually made the waiting a little better. Before you try to program the fob you need to get it cut (copying) the cut from the other key I hope you have. Search for an “automotive locksmith”. Pretty sure it can’t be done by the box stores or kiosks. There comes a time in the procedure when all existing key fobs will no longer work. So you need to have them all close by for the programming. After my second attempt, I was in a car in the Walmart Parking lot Saturday night at 10:00, and realized I no longer had a working key for my car. A little bit of an adrenaline.Third time was the charm. Proved it when my old fob started working again. But the new one would only lock and unlock doors. It would not permit starting. Two came in the package. And I also have a 2014 impala. Which is different because it is not a push button start. Call me a glutton for punishment, I’m going to give it a try.As for the 2019, this afternoon I stopped at the dealer, provided the VIN, bought a GM fob and have confidence I will be able to program it after it’s cut. I suppose getting it cut could be considered optional. Problem is you don’t want to be locked outside your car with no power. Only time you ever need it to be cut.

Great Purchase
Purchased these to get a copy of a key for two cars. One an equinox and the other a Chevy Malibu. They’re perfect.

Work great
2012 Buick LacrosseThey both work just as well as the old keys. Some people said that the range was weak, but mine work from inside my house with the car parked out front on the street, so about 50 feet with a barrier in between. I don’t notice a difference in range and I can remote start the car without an issue. The locksmith switched the old key out with the new one for $15 each, so he didn’t need to cut a new key. He just removed the pins to slide the keys out, filed the old key to fit, slid it in, and put the pin back in. The locksmith will fix one key, you will go outside with one old key and one new key (or home if you didn’t drive the car there due to the broken key), turn the key to the on position with the old key [mine was broken so I held the fob next to the key as I turned the key with pliers (the fob has a chip in it that lets you turn the key)], remove the old key, use the new key and turn it to the on position, and then turn it off. After making sure the new key starts the car, return to the locksmith to get the other key fixed, and repeat the process to reprogram that key with the newly programmed key.
