One only Shoe Stretcher
This is an ideal product for one legged people, but I am going to have to order another, as I have two feet, thus two shoes in each pair. It seems to be a robust and ideal product for the job, but will have to reserve full judgement until I have a brother for this solitary item.

Patience is an advantage.
I was given a decent pair of golf shoes that fitted but were simply too narrow to wear comfortably for half a day, as I found out to my cost.I used this stretcher in combination with 'Shuu' shoe stretcher spray, Shoe Stretcher Spray Relieves Tight Fitting Shoes Leather Suede Softener (SET OF 3).This stretcher appears to be well constructed, and shows no sign of failing after being 'under pressure' for a total of eight days, (this product is a single stretcher, not a pair). Each shoe was given 2 days as an initial stretch, using the spray at the beginning, and every twelve hours thereafter, making sure to gently tighten the stretcher after each spray. The shoe was allowed to completely dry before the stretcher was removed. The studs on the stretcher were repositioned, and positioned deeper into both shoes, so that the entire forward part of the shoe was evenly stretched. Again the shoe was sprayed and tightened every twelve hours, and the stretcher left in place for 2 days.My feet are pleased with the very comfortable results.

Useful device after modifying
I've got a knobbly 'tailor's' bunion on my outer left foot. This means I need to get a wide fitting or stretchy pair of shoes. I often still need to break them in. I hate buying and gradually breaking in new shoes. On a recent visit to a Podiatrist he suggested I take my left foot shoes to Timpsons get them stretched over the area of the problematic bunion. This I did and worth every penny. However I still had lots of other shoes that needed attention.I did my consumer research and bought this single foot model as I only needed it for one foot. It also looked sturdier and had good reviews. After it arrived it was indeed sturdy but only had a limited number of holes to insert small curved, supplied projections to stretch over. This was no good for my purposes as i needed to stretch the area where my bunion was. So took it down to the shed, took measurements, and drilled a series of additional holes so that I could focus where I needed the stretching done. After this modification the device was greatly improved. It also meant that I could leave it clamped for extended periods. Glad I bought it but would be useless for me without my additional hole drilling.

Buy 2! One for each shoe
Stretched my pair of loafers as the pinched across my foot's width. you can move the removable 'nodules' on the stretcher so that you ease the leather in the same place your foot rubs. No batteries required!!

Great and much better value than visiting the cobbler
Really easy to use..... and cheaper than visits to the cobbler. I had shoes bought online that were a little tight. Loved the shoes got them stretched at the cobbler but they were still tight so hadn’t worn them. Bought some sports shoes online that were not true to size so bought these to stretch them. Took 2 stretches to get them to fit but so easy to use and at a fraction of the price of the cobbler. They have now been lent out to a friend to stretch a pair of their shoes. Great investment and easy to use although I did have to watch a video online as there weren’t any instructions with the stretcher.

Four Pairs of Unwearable Shoes Now a Comfortable Fit
When this shoe stretcher arrived I was very happy with its robust and high quality construction. I have wide feet and a high instep, so I always have trouble getting shoes that are comfortable. I am also now struggling with Plantar Fasciatis which limits shoe choice. As a result I had several as-new pairs which had proved near misses but were unwearable, including a brand new pair of Doc Martens which were not quite wide enough at my feets' widest point. So from day one, one of the Docs experienced the Nincha for 24 hours. And this process continued through 4 pairs of tight shoes which are now all comfortably wearable. Only one pair is being obstinate (Hotters) which are a lot better and will receive further sessions untill either I win or the charity shop does.I did find that lack of instep height adjustment was disappointing. I made a half length 'insole' out of hardboard and tied up the laces quite tightly to give a bit of extra height stretch. I didn't need the plastic plug in bits, but these looked wrong when inserted, as though the holes were at the wrong angle. There was no instruction sheet of raw basics included and not even a parts list. A sheet of hints and tips would have been encouraging and avoided me wasting time. It would have cost nothing!

Fixed my shoe
Bought some great Sketchers walking shoes, but for some reason the left little tow was rubbing. Was a bit dubious about this tool, but for about a week I used it (with the little plastic additions to target certain points) and slowly the shoe stretched. Haven't needed it since, but for the price, fixed £80 shoes, so worth it.
