Excellent product
Very nice and large product. The instructions are bit tiny. Worth every penny

Heavy and confusing
I have to start by saying I really like this desk. However it is very difficult to put together. I followed the instructions step by step but still had problems.Neither the instructions nor the pieces themselves are clearly labelled as to which way around they should be assembled. For example there is a piece that forms the bottom of the left pedestal. This piece has a rail fitted on the right side and then the vertical pieces which form the shelves are placed on the left and some feet are nailed into the bottom. However it wasn't clearly labelled which way up it should go so I assembled it upside down and then had to remove the feet which I had nailed into place leaving nail holes behind.Similarly, the instructions state that the two pedestals are to be joined together by a back piece and then the desktop put onto the top. Unfortunately this was not possible so the back piece had to be removed then the desktop attached and then the back piece re-attached otherwise the receptacles for the pins on the desktop would not align. It was a similar story with the drawer in the right pedestal. With the sides and the back of the pedestal screwed together as per the instructions, the drawer would not fit. I had to unscrew one side of the pedestal and then tighten up the screws again - but not too much otherwise the drawer would not move at all. That was the negatives, now the positives. The desk is huge!! There are smaller islands in the Caribbean! I exaggerate, of course, but you get the picture. There is plenty of shelf space although the shelves are only big enough for CD cases rather than the more modern DVD style cases that most physical games media come in nowadays. There is a shelf on the right pedestal large enough for most home printers (although, like me, you may have to turn it sideways to fit); along with a shelf underneath to store your paper and spare ink etc. Like many home desks there is no cable management to speak of, but since all the cables run at the back along the floor this isn't a problem. The desk is also very sturdy but surprisingly easy to move even "fully loaded" on a carpeted floor. All in all I would recommend this desk but with a warning about studying the instructions very carefully and being prepared to pull previously built bits apart in order to fit other parts.

Excellent Value for Money
HOMCOM Computer Desk PC Workstation with Drawer Shelves CPU Storage Rack Home Office Furniture (BLACK). Arrived in 2 parcels, well packed and all in good order. Takes a little while to put the thing together, but it all fits well and by taking one's time there are no issues. Everything in marked bags makes thing easier. Instructions easy to follow. Makes an excellent computer desk and my grandson is very happy with it.Excellent value for money, looks good and straightforward to erect. Highly recommended.

Not fit for purpose
Parts of it were ok, but it was badly measured so it couldn’t form an actual desk. The screw holes were in places where some connecting piece meant the drawer would have to be upside down and pointing in the wrong direction to attach to the next piece, and it then wouldn’t attach the other way as the holes for it were now on the outside not the inside. If you plan on getting this you’ll need a drill, a measuring tape, chalk to mark, the patience of a saint, and not to have any young ears around to hear all the swearing. There is also no marking for which way up and which way round each piece goes, so you probably will need to take off each piece and put it back multiple times unless you get lucky. The instructions were also mostly useless, including the illustrations which seemed to be closer to vague suggestions than actual useful instructions. Not recommended. It would be easier, and probably a better product, to go to a lumber yard and make the desk yourself. It wouldn’t be any more difficult, and you’ll be doing the same amount of woodwork either way, which seems pretty par for the course for all the homcom products I seem to end up getting and then replacing due to terrible build quality and poor attention to detail.

Value for money
The instructions could have been clearer but we managed ok in the end without too much problem. The video links for a demo of assembly were not that helpful as the person assembled it in a different way to the written instructions. Also there are part holes that you have to be careful piercing as the skin/ laminate covering can split. Overall a sturdy desk and I would buy again.

Don't buy this desk the drawer is not fit for purpose
The shelf side of this is OK and relatively easy to assemble, however the drawer side is absolutely rubbish, I've built a bit of flat pack in the past and these are the worst instructions ever, its just diagrams with no words, the parts are pre drilled, but these holes are not on the diagrams so difficult to know which way the parts fit.most of the parts are numbered, but not all, both sets of runners were not numbered and are both different. There are marker holes on the cabinet for the drawer runners, but not on the drawers so difficult to know how to fit them properly. The drawer does not fit square so final appearance looks rubbish. The drawer runners are not fit for purpose as the bearings keep getting stuck on the part that is meant to stop them sliding to far in, the desk has only being built a day and bearings are already falling out. I got this desk as a Christmas present for the wife, and its so rubbish I'm embarrassed to have bought it for her, in fact I will avoid buying any furniture from amazon again as a result of this desk.

Good value for money, functional and looks great.
Instructions for assembly were vague awould benefit from labelling pieces left/right, front and top to facilitate which way round to build. Took us more than 4 hours, a lot of patience and 2 attempts to build! However, once built this is a sturdy table and looks great. My son is really pleased. Good value for money and very functional.
