was easy to install, once you knew the correct web address
card came in and installed in 10 minutes.. would have been 5, but the instructions that came with it had the wrong web address to get the drivers. searched on here and found them

Good network card!
Honestly a good replacement for the faulty port on my motherboard, really saved me from having to replace the whole thing

Easy to install and use
Worked as advertised. Would have been better if the link to the driver for Windows 7 had been real.

works great
added this to a computer that had an onboard card that wouldn't allow the internet to achieve the speed I was paying for. After I installed it We had the max speed we were paying for. This card has already paid for itself.

Perfect replacement & upgrade for a failing 10/100/1000 onboard ethernet NIC
I didn't give this 5 stars; due to the confusing package it arrived in - I almost was ready to send it back due the box it came in that indicated it was another 10/100/1000 ethernet PCI-E card. When I opened the box it was the product I ordered. I needed to replace ethernet on a chip on desktop that was either failing or simply a substandard solution. I wanted to upgrade to 100/1000/2.5GB solution in the process. Upgrade was easy after changing the bracket to low profile supplied in the kit for my small form factor desktop. Used newer driver at Edup website.

This is a 1gb Network Card, NOT 2.5gb
This card is all theory. The RTL8125B chipset is used by generic network cards. If you do a Google search for that chipset, you won't find any name brands using it, but you will find everyone advertising it as a 2.5GB network card, while some are advertising it as a 10GB card, and some as a 20gb card. The x2 slot has a max speed of 5GB which is why it is typically used by USB 3 & 3.1 cards. The PCI-E x2 has two lanes, hence the x2. Since it's a two way street (2 lanes), it's 2.5GB each way. It also affected by the PCI-E x2 revision. Most likely this card has the 1GB max speed revision.Referencing back to theRTL8125B chipset, that is why you will see that the box titled "PCI-E & USB Network Adapter". This card has nothing to do with anything USB. That is the gotcha as to why they are claiming 2.5GB speeds. The added "USB" to the title, and the fact that this is a PCI-E x2 card, allows them to claim 2.5GB speeds. They are banking on unknowing people looking for faster speeds since the 2.5GB speeds are gaining in popularity. The box itself also shows that it is only a 10/100/1000MBPS network adapter. The majority of people who plug this card in will notice speed gains. You would also see the same speed gains if you were to return this network card and bought yourself a cheap $5-$10 1GB PCI-E network adapter card. Again, I am not claiming all people, just the majority of those who aren't really network savvy and aren't using the latest and greatest. What this all boils down to, is the fact that a PCI-E network card has the ability to take advantage of the faster speeds the PCI-E lanes offer. If your computer doesn't have any USB 3.0 or 3.1 slots, don't waste your money on any network cards as you won't see any speed gains, but possibly slower speeds. This could be why some reviews are complaining about slower speeds.I have the Amazon Eero 6 mesh WiFi, and ALL of my devices have faster internet speeds than ALL of all the speed test pics posted in the reviews for those raving faster speeds. I'm not talking hard wired speeds, but actual WiFi speeds. I have standard cable internet, and before someone cries WiFi 6 speeds, non WiFi 6 devices still utilize the integrated WiFi standard they have built in. Meaning, if a device has the 802.11n wifi, it connects the the Eero 6 wifi using 802.11n, and it is limited to the capabilities of that protocol. Given the technology improvements of the Eero 6 mesh wifi, this same device would most likely see speed increases because of wifi radio wave improvements in this case. Same concept for someone seeing speed gains by switching to a 1GB PCI-E network card.Another network item related to speed is Cat6 cables. They are capable of speeds up to 10GB speeds. This will also help some. Don't fall prey to those sellers charging a premium because the title states 10GB cables. 'Normal' cat6 cables that are cheaper will do just fine because they are just going to send you a pack of cat6 cable anyways.Remember, your network is only as fast as it's weakest link. Just because you have a 10GB capable network cable, doesn't mean you will see 10GB speeds. If you have a cat5 cable plugged into your router, you are limited to cat5 speeds. Another big item is your modem as they have speed caps themselves. A lot of people have modems that have 250mb or 500mb speed caps. If you have a modem/wifi combo, get rid of it and buy your own modem and use a separate wifi router. Start there and move backwards. Internet plan, type of modem, modem speed, network cable connected to modem, then the router/wifi, etc.Hopefully this helps someone understand what to look for when trying to gain faster internet speeds. This card 'may' give you some speed gains, but it won't even remotely be close to 2.5gb. Even if you had 2 gig internet speeds, and all the stars aligned, you'd still have 1 gig max. It would be 1gig max. Internet plans and network capabilities will be the the true authority of your internet speed.

Worked right out of the box. No driver needed for Win10 Pro 64-Bit. Sped up my download rate.
Ok, so first off, I thought I needed to download a driver before installing this device (EDUP Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express PCI-E Network Card/NO WIFI). But the listed website on the manual no longer exists (or wouldn't load for me).So I popped it in anyway on my motherboard express slot and it just worked. Now the technical details. Yes, it actually reduced CPU usage by a small percentage. I'm running a Ryzen 3600 6 core 12 thread CPU, 32GB 3600mhz c18 ram on a Asus Strix b450-F Gaming motherboard. Certain streaming websites like Twitch, etc, would sometimes cause my CPU fans to ramp up quite a bit. After installing this device, all the networking is handled by it, thus leaving my CPU alone. Also, it actually upped my download speeds, which was a big surprise. People have been parroting that using a network card would present no difference than onboard. Not in my case. Prior to install, I was getting a max of 181mbps download speeds (im paying for 150mbps so I thought it was good). After changing my connection over to this device, my download speeds are now at a consistent 220mbps and sometimes up to 228Mbps. Like what?Actually, I do need to point out that prior to seeing the speed boost, my speeds did start out slower than when I was on my onboard network adapter, at 170Mbps. I went on the Cox website and reset my hardware through their reset options and that's when the speed boosted. I'm checking this every day and so far, it hasn't failed to drop below. The only con here, is cosmetic. The metal bracket is not black as shown in pics. Thankfully, easy to mod. I have a can of flat black Krylon primer spray paint and I will be removing the bracket to paint it after a week's use.So far, so good. If anything changes, I'll update my review.

does what it is supposed to.
Fixed the crashing issues I was having with my work PC

Faulty, worked for only a day
It worked for just one day. When I switched on my computer on day 2, it would not detect the card at all. Very disappointing. I replaced it with a more reliable TP-Link TG-3468, which has been working flawlessly.

Bracket not black so sticks out like a sore thumb
I bought this because my motherboard Ethernet port kept cutting out. It came well packaged and works great. The only downside is that the mounting bracket is SILVER and NOT BLACK like in the product pictures. It’s a great networking card but I felt like I should dock a star because of the slightly misleading product pictures.
