Very much better than it should be at this price.
I bought this 1440p 32” curved 165hz model to replace my 1080p LG game gear 27” that died suddenly after a disappointingly short 3 years.I paid $100 more for the LG and this kTC is superior in every way except one very small detail: the stand only tilts, there’s no height, or rotation adjustment, (neither monitor would swivel), but it does support VESA mounting so you could remedy that for a bit of extra investment. It even came with nice stand-off screws to make sure clearance with VESA mounting wouldn’t be a problem. The stand it comes with isn’t bad though. It’s solid metal, probably aluminum, but also feels just a bit light compared to the screen itself. It’s enough to get the job done though and has rubber anti-skid pads that keep it from moving around.Even though this is a VA type LCD, the colors are great. They’re at least as good as the color performance on my LG monitor which was IPS. Blacks and contrast are superior on the KTC in HDR mode. Ghosting is better than the LG. It’s s a noticeably easier to see details in textures and objects in motion even with FSR3 and frame generation on, and there’s very very little perceptible blur.Pixel density seems sharper to me on the KTC. I expected that since I going from 27” 1080 to 32” 1440, the pixel density would work out to be about the same, but it’s better than I expected. As some others have pointed out: if you’re not using display port you’re missing out on features. Variable Refresh Rate doesn’t work on HDMI (even though it should, I think), and you cannot reach 165hz refresh. Mine was limited to 120 but ymmv. In display port mode, everything works as advertised for me.Also of note, HDR does work fairly well on this panel, at least in the one that I received. I’ve noticed very sharp colors and contrast in HDR mode but one thing you HAVE to do is set HDR to “Auto” in the monitors OSD settings. If you leave HDR set to “off” and try to enable your HDR option in windows or games it totally ruins the colors and contrast. The only down side is that according to windows display options, the advertised peak brightness of the panel 301 nits (oddly specific, I thought), which isn’t HDR10, but I personally still prefer it in HDR over standard. The HDR quality on my LG monitor doesn’t even compare to this one.Keep in mind that my 5-star rating is relative to its price to performance ratio. This screen isn’t going to compete with OLED or maybe even micro-LED, but at this price it seems to me to be as good as it gets. One slight discrepancy in the description is that the listing on Amazon said the screen has a glossy finish, but the finish on mine is just as flat and anti-glare as any other screen I’ve used.

Good monitors for the sale price with a caveat
I'm just received two of these. Everything worked fine out of the box, which was really well packaged.Pros:- Great price (got it on sale for around 150)- 85% of the quality other monitors I've seen for half the price- Color reproduction is not lacking, but not professional- No dead pixels- Packaged well- Decent OSD- Backlight bleeding is minimal (this is also usually a QC issue, so your mileage may vary)- Inputs are good- Support by email is possibleMid:- Some text is a little blocky, tuning ClearType helped a little.Cons:- Holy moly the 1/4" underscan...- Stand is bare bones, but I have a VESA mount- OSD is better then other value monitors, but not great- Don't use this for speakers unless you have none- Support site is non-existentUsing this over Display Port to an AMD 6900xt.The amount of underscan on Display Port is .... not great (see pic, the pink thing is a mechanical pencil) . I have about 1/4" of black screen on the horizontal sides and top, and about an 1/8" on the bottom. Some people won't notice it, but it is noticeable. The OSD gives no adjustment for picture size, and forcing overscan is for HDMI only. This is the reason I took away the star. This may not be an issue if you use HDMI, but then you won't want to if you also want Freesync. AMD Adrenaline software has no options to fix, but it looks like there's at least an attempt.Curiously there is a way to do USB updates, but as there is no support site, I don't know if there are any updates.I don't game a ton, but when it's been working well for BG3 and CK3.Overall it's a great monitor at the price, just know that underscan for it is a thing. I would probably buy againI will update this if I find a way to fix this.

Best budget 2k monitor at the moment
Solid build quality, good colors out of factory, no flickering. Only complaint is that the stand is not very customizable and it didnt come with VESA mount screws, I had to settle with the complimentary stand before I get some screws for my monitor arm. Which I recommend anyone not already doing so do.4.7/5 stars
