Our wine barrels come directly from wineries in europe and were used to produce splendid red wines. We choose the most suitable barrels directly in the winery, clean them and cut and sand the edges. Nevertheless the barrel still keeps its special character and can be combined with every garden style. Don't put the barrel directly on soil but put it on some pebbles s that it can't moulder. During winter the barrel should be empty and kept outside. This way the barrel can't be broken up by ice and still has enough humidity. In Springtime the barrel works like a wooden boat and is tightening itself by swelling within some time. If You want to use the barrel as a planter you just have to take care of the plants.
