Good value
Looks good and works well. comes with instructions but was a bit worrying as it can be "programmed". Not being a technophobe I had doubts. Actually it worked perfectly out of the box and just needed to connect the wires from the old non dimming switch. The original looked exactly the same pattern but was solid brass. This one is just a thin brass plate that has been pressed into shape but looks identical when fitted.

Nice LED dimmer
Bought this to replace an old cast brass dimmer as intended to go to using LED bulbs. Works very well once you get used to the slight delay in the light coming on once you push the knob. Compared to the old cast brass plate this is thin so you have to ensure you don't tighten the screws too far and bend it.

For me this is the only dimmer for my dimmable LED bulbs. If you check out their web site you will see the product has won awards. The dimmer works very differently to the traditional dimmer. First make sure you have dimmable LED bulbs if thats what you want to dim but this dimmer also works with traditional bulbs as it has three different modes which are very easy to configure. if you get stuck goto their web site and you will be able to watch a short video that gives very clear instructions. I chose this face plate design to match my existing but there are different to choose from. As per disruption this one is 2 gang 1 and 2 way and will fit a 25mm back box with no problem. The unit steps up/down the light very smoothly thus easy on the LED making its life longer, well, thats the theory anyway and only time will tell. I have changed all my traditional bulbs throughout my house, a little expensive to start but in the long run i will save £££££s on my bills and this little beauty will help.

Powerful Switch
Needed a new switch and chose this - not likely to use the full range of its tech but who knows. Works well and you soon get used to the very very slight delay in lighting up.

One or the other
Amazon agreed a return on this product (not faulty just not right fit) but the seller insisted on a photo. Seller then would not accept return as they (wrongly) said I had used it - even after I had insisted I hadn't So either the seller sent me a used product (see photo I sent them) or they called me a liar - either way I wasn't happy. Made the product fit (new back box) and very happy with product hence high rating.

Dangerous !!
Fire Hazard!! Purchased this item in May 2015. Had it fitted by a qualified electrician in July 2015. Two weeks ago I was awakened at 4a.m. by the sound of my house alarm. The house was in darkness as the main trip had blown. I switched the power back on and discovered that this switch was smoldering (although switched off). We isolated it from the fuse box and next morning called an electrician. When he removed the switch he discovered it had completely burnt out at the back. It had even scorched the surrounding wallpaper. I have photographs of the burnt out switch and will upload them later. The reason I am writing this review is to prevent a disaster happening in another home. Before I purchased this switch I had looked at a few and decided to purchase the more expensive one as I thought it would be better quality. I should have took heed of the reviewer who said his switch was making a buzzing sound and he immediately threw it in the bin. However, as there were a lot of good reviews I went ahead and bought it.I no longer review a product when I receive it as how it performs over time should be a better indication of the quality of the item. With electrical goods there is absolutely no excuse for selling what proved to me a very dangerous product.
