Good sturdy bookshelf for the money
I have bought this item 3 times now because it is such good quality for the price, especially if you can get it on sale. It is very sturdy since the back is made of the same wood material as the sides and shelves instead of the cheap paper board that is usually on bookshelves I find for cheap on here.I was able to put it together on my own all times. The instructions are fairly easy if you've built this type of furniture that uses screws and cam lock nuts. The only difficult part by yourself is turning it over after you are done. You build it with the feet at the top, so it is quite a heavy and tall bookshelf to flip safely alone.I had to look on the company website to find the shelf height of 11.8 inches since it isn't listed on this product.

This is a good sturdy utility bookcase you have to put together.
The box arrived on time and was complete with all parts and hardware. They were all well-marked and were adequately packed using styrofoam. No parts were damaged in shipment. The 68 lb. box was pretty heavy for this 73 year old guy to lug into the house. After looking through the 17-page instruction pamphlet (9 pages both sides) I decided I would build it in sections on the dining room floor and then haul them up to a very cluttered den for final construction. This bookcase was built in China, so I didn't expect easily explained instructions. I was right about that, as there were few written words, just drawings. Thankfully, the numerous clearly done illustrations were enough to easily walk me through the build. It took about 1 1/2 hours, at a very relaxed pace, to put the bookcase together. All went smoothly with no serious issues.Because I was moving the case sections in parts to my upstairs den I decided to change the order of how I did the build. It was so straight-forward I could easily do that. Transport was easy in pieces. When it was together I was pleasantly surprised the completed bookcase was sturdy, as many other reviewers said, and that it was reasonably attractive for a utilitarian furniture piece. Let's be clear, this bookshelf is nice but it's not high grade furniture, so it's probably something you wouldn't want to have in your living room. For furniture you have to build this Tribesigns bookcase, IMHO, is way better than average. They use a screw-in pin and cam method in construction, so I don't know how sturdy it will be long term. If any pin and cam loosens a bit, I don't see why I can't tighten it up with a few twists of a screwdriver. Another nice feature is individual pieces of wood screwed in the back of every shelf tier using the help of 20 small plastic push-in holders. These, when installed, tighten up construction a bit. The metal base the case shelves mount to are strong, nice looking and easy to clean under.Am I happy with this bookcase? Oh yes! Having another 5–31" long bookshelves that have 11.81" clearance is a big plus. The depth of each shelf goes back a healthy 11 1/4". Lots of room!. Even without securing the bookcase to the wall it stands tall and steady. Impressive. I won't gamble and will use a 3/4" x 3"x 24" board screwed to wall studs to be the base the bookcase will be fixed to. The hardware Tribesigns provides for this might work, but with my method I know it will be rock-solid secure, albeit aesthetically less appealing. I started to load the bookcase, and it's clear it will hold an enormous number of books and quite a few plastic storage containers (for lightbulbs, batteries, printer ink, pens, markers ..... etc.). They would go on the top shelf and case top. Is this bookcase worth the money? I initially thought the price was high at $159 but seeing how big and sturdy it is, how much heavy use it will get, and how much better my stuff will be organized has me rethinking its price. Size, sturdiness, looks and ease of construction were the primary reasons I bought this Tribesigns bookcase.

This Bookshelf is a Game-Changer – But There’s a Catch
After months of debating between IKEA and Wayfair, I took a chance on this Tribesigns bookcase—and it’s now the centerpiece of my home office. Here’s the honest truth after 3 months of use:🔥 What I LOVE:✔ The LED lights are chef’s kiss – They make my books look like a museum display (and hide the fact that I haven’t dusted in weeks).✔ Sturdy AF – Holds my 200+ book collection + decorative knickknacks without sagging (unlike my last Walmart shelf that bowed after a month).✔ Easy-ish assembly – Took me 90 minutes solo (wine breaks included), but the instructions were actually readable.✔ Perfect height – At 70.8”, it fits flush under my 8’ ceiling but still feels grand.😤 The Annoying Bits:⚠ LED wiring is janky – The cord is awkwardly placed (had to drill a tiny hole in the back panel to hide it).⚠ Shelves aren’t adjustable – Fine for hardcovers, but paperbacks leave awkward gaps.⚠ Glass doors would’ve been nice – Dust is still a problem, but at least it’s black so it’s less visible.💡 Pro Tips:Anchor it to the wall! It’s heavy, but a curious cat (or a clumsy roommate) could tip it.Use a microfiber cloth – The black finish shows fingerprints like crazy.Buy extra LED strips – The included ones are bright but not expandable.🛠 Unexpected Perks:Doubles as a room divider in my studio apartment. My plants love the top shelf (indirect light + extra height = happy monstera).Friends keep asking if it’s from Restoration Hardware (lol no, it was $200).👎 Who Might Hate It?Perfectionists (the laminate has a tiny chip on one edge—only I notice, but still).Renters (it’s heavy and a pain to move).People who hate assembly (it’s not hard, but it’s not fun either).⭐ Final Rating: 4.6/5(-0.4 for the non-adjustable shelves and LED cord hassle, but otherwise, worth every penny.)

Cheap Materials and Poor Construction
The directions are vague and do not tell you which way is up or down as you are assembling it. On two boards I had all four of the screw in posts pop out of the board. That in turn destroyed the boards making assembly impossible. I ended up having to throw the entire thing in the trash. That is $145 down the drain.

Quality for the price. Better than IKEA or Target bookcases. Easy to build, I did it myself.
