1. As another review said, use a heat gun on low to make the bucket around the hole more malleable so the curve flattens out.2. Smear "Oatey plumber's grease" on all sides of the gasket. The grease itself doesn't seal, but rather it allows the inside nut to easily slide over the gasket when tightening so you can achieve more torque.3. Tighten to the point that the corner points of the inside nut start to dig in and deform the gasket. See picture and zoom in. I used two large channel pliers to achieve the torque required while the bucket was still warm and malleable.It is a very high quality product and is excellent value. I use this setup to mix soluble fertilizer and apply to shrubs. I used to just tip the bucket out but this faucet allows finer control to avoid runoff.

Very good product

This is a really nice spigot. Everything you need to use it is included EXCEPT an extra seal to place on the outside of the rain barrel. It leaks other wise. I had to buy a sheet of rubber and create my own.The only reason I’m giving 3 stars is because of there being no outer ring seal, only an inner. And there’s no option to even purchase an additional seal.

Easy installtion, nice to see plumbing tape, locks included in package along with a spanner.

No leaks as long as your drill correctly. Do not over tighten!

This is very easy to install and follow the directions on - we just went to a bigger rain barrel so figured it was time for a new spigot as ours was starting to crack, but this one feels more durable than our last one and fit perfectly for the use we need it for. Will probably order another one for our other barrel once we get it set up, too.
