Pretty But Too Many Design and Workmanship Gaffes-Eats Items-Bad Purchase
Update: This went to the charity store. The center drawer especially swallows items like papers and rulers. We had to force the drawer off the rails to recover important items within the drawer slot. What a waste of money!I needed a new desk of reasonable size for my study, and I paid about $700 for this. Right off the bat, it has the issue of being too low for most average Americans. I am 5 ft 9in and my knees banged up against the underside. I raised it with double furniture cups, but I should not have had to. The metal "stretcher" bars around the bottom of the legs are strictly cosmetic, and fall out if you look at them sideways. I got tired of getting on my hands and knees to put them back in, so I just threw them away. The finish on the hardware is paint, and cheap paint at that. The "gold" finish flakes off very easily. These should have been solid brass for the price. The wood portions seem sturdy, but again this is paying top dollar for a slight upgrade over knocked-down MDF from the office superstores.

Product damaged
The desk came damaged with chips in all 3 corners, the height dimension is not really accurate since there’s a frame in the middle of the desk to assemble the desk that decreases the leg space by 2 inches. The desk itself is really pretty and I like the mid century style, due to the damaged and dimensions definitely not worth $500. I kept it only because it was going to take 2 wks for Amazon to pick it up if I decided to return it. I got a discount refund instead so for me it was worth it, since I was able to fix the chips and added leg extenders to increase the height.
