I did return it, not because it had any thing wrong with it that all the newer Android boxes didn't. All new Android boxes are limited to what you can see and download from the play store. I don't like side loading, it is a huge pain in the a*&. My older boxes don't have this limitation.

Not ready for consumers/users!!!The box might work great but I'll never know because I can't even find out what this thing can do, let alone HOW to do it. The only guide to this thing is the included Quick start guide and it's worthless; it has tiny, unreadable, micro-sized print and covers turn-on and that's about all. I did manage to get hard drives installed after finding info online about a SIMILAR product. The Dune has a file manager that requires experimentation to figure out, doesn't seem to do batch copying and pasting, and doesn't tell you the amount of used or free space in a drive. Also, it looks like adding/moving movies or series to the playable "My Collection" from just drive storage is a ONE-AT-A-TIME venture: good luck if you have a big movie collection.Seller/manufacturer, if you see this: Is there any documentation? Is it any good, i. e. thorough ? If it's in PDF form, is it readable when printed? Where is it? Or, when is it? Or, will it ever be? Do you care? Or are you one on those moron companies that has a 3-point type PDF guide that is nothing but an 8-page, ten language folding leaflet that prints to it's too-small actual size? ( If so, fix it - use at least 10-12 type size). I'd be happy to change this rating it it had some documentation that made it usable and maybe worth the price.

This is a warning. I got this product because I found Plex servers to be buggy when streaming high bitrate media, and often lag. However, this is worse. After the return window had passed, it had started stuttering during the playback of video, 1080p quality. I thought it was nothing to be concerned about, but it then started happening every few seconds, no matter the video, and no matter the audio codec.I contacted Amazon support and Dune HD, but neither were willing to help me. I went through my card and tried to dispute the transaction, but there is a certain time period where I need to dispute it which I did not realize. I thought it was simply a problem with the model, but no...Now it's just a black screen. It won't even load to get to the main menus.I am warning you now. Do not get anything from Dune HD. They will take and run away with your money, and you will have a piece of broken metal at the end of it.

Prima di acquistare il Dune HD Real Vision 4K Duo ho fatto molte ricerche, ho valutato diversi prodotti arrivando poi a scegliere tra Dune e Zidoo tenendo a mente le caratteristiche delle quali avevo bisogno:- ampia capacita' di storage per cui la possibilita' di utilizzare due dischi e per di piu' entrambi all'interno dello chassis, anziche' averne uno interno ed uno esterno come in altri modelli, era un punto a favore;- possibilita' di leggere tutti i formati audio e video- praticità nell'utilizzo, soprattutto sulla gestione dei menu- buone recensioni tecniche da parte degli utilizzatori, lette su forum tematici internazionaliAlla fine ho optato per il Dune, ero solo un po' preoccupato per quello che sentivo dire da qualche utilizzatore riguardo il rumore della ventola ma devo dire che e' molto piu' silenzioso di quanto mi aspettassi, e' praticamente quasi inaudibile decisamente non si sente durante la visione dei film o l'ascolto musicale!Lato accessori devo dire che e' dotato di diversi cavi, tra i quali un HDMI 4K certificato che non mi aspettavo di trovare (ok la presenza di un cavo HDMI, questo si, ma trovarne uno con tanto di certificazione verificabile tramite QR code e' stata decisamente una piacevole sorpresa) e una prolunga per il sensore del telecomando, utile per coloro che come me hanno il player in una posizione non comodissima da pilotare dal punto di visione.L'unico appunto che al momento posso fare e' la gestione dei menu di configurazione, non sono molto immediati nella comprensione e il fatto che a parte un paio di paginette molto basilari non e' presente nessun manuale utente dettagliato, non e' stato semplicissimo capire come predisporre i dischi inseriti al suo interno (peraltro riconosciuti immediatamente) in modo da poterli utilizzare subito ma data la cadenza degli aggiornamenti del firmware mi aspetto dei miglioramenti da questo punto di vista.Lati positivi: una volta capito come gestire il tutto il funzionamento e' molto fluido, audio e video sono decisamente di alto livello, nessun tentennamento su nessuno dei file utilizzati fino adesso, molto molto pratica la possibilita' di usare il player come file server (ad esempio Infuse installato su AppleTV legge i file direttamente dallo storage del player).Come detto molto silenzioso durante il funzionamento normale, non scalda, il display frontale puo' essere spento in modo da non dare fastidio durante la visione (poca roba a livello di illuminazione, ma e' pur sempre una fonte di luce che a qualcuno potrebbe non piacere soprattutto per coloro che sono abituati a vedere i film in un ambiente completamente buio).Sono presenti due antenne per il wifi, che al momento non ho usato perche' non ho la necessità di collegarlo in rete pertanto non posso dare giudizi su questo aspetto.In definitiva un prodotto che sicuramente trovo molto valido, fa quello che avevo bisogno che facesse e lo fa bene: non e' sicuramente il prodotto che consiglio a coloro che cercano un player con un'altissima qualità audio a due canali, magari con DAC dedicati di alto livello e uscite XLR, perche' l'audio e' veicolato solo tramite HDMI e potrebbe non essere sufficiente per loro... chi invece cerca un prodotto che lavori bene sull'audio MCH senza dover spendere migliaia di € per player di altissimo livello allora questo Dune fa sicuramente al caso loro.Le quattro stelle che ho dato sono appunto per la gestione del telecomando, che in assenza della prolunga del sensore potrebbe dare dei problemi nel controllo, e la facilità di installazione: dal punto di vista prettamente pratico nessunissimo problema, molto semplice da installare e collegare, invece lato menu di configurazione la cosa diventa un pelo meno semplice mi auguro che in un prossimo aggiornamento firmware rendano la cosa piu' intuibile... per tutto il resto le cinque stelle sono adeguate!

Nach gut 7 Jahren hat sich mein Media-Player mit einem Freeze verabschiedet und ein Neuer musste her.Das Angebot ist in der Kategorie "Festplatten-Einbau" relativ überschaubar und ich so stieß ich dann auf diesen Player hier.Der Preis war nicht gerade günstig, da ich aber als Film- und Serienjunkie eine hohe Qualität möchte, habe ich den Kauf gewagt.Ich würde nicht enttäuscht. Hier eine kurze Auflistung der Pro (+) und Contras (-)+ Super kleines Gerät+ Übersichtliche Oberfläche und kurze Einrichtungszeit+ Updates wurden direkt beim Start vorgenommen und das ohne Probleme+ Netzwerkeinrichtung absolut unkompliziert+ Ton und Bild einfach WOW und alle Formate, die ich nutze, laufen super flüssig+ Infodaten über Filme/ Serien brauche ich zwar nicht, ist aber cool gemacht+ Lüfter dreht nur beim Start ordentlich auf und dann ist er still. Kann absolut mit leben.+ Schnelle Reaktionszeit- Die Fernbedienung reagiert manchmal nicht so gut und hat nur einen Bluetoothsender, somit kann ich meine etwas betagtere Logitech My Harmony Fernbedienung nicht programmieren, denn die nimmt nur Infrarot.Eine neue, die auch Bluetooth Signale speichern kann, kostet locker 180 Euro. Das ist mir nach dieser Ausgabe denn doch zu viel.- Sprachbefehle. Naja ich muss das nicht haben. Habe noch genügen Kraft in meinen "alten" Fingern, um eine Taste zu drücken. :-)Ansonsten habe ich absolut nichts zu bemängeln und kann eine klare Kaufempfehlung geben.

Es el tercer dune que compro. Es, simplemente, perfecto.
