A genius piece of kit. My only minor gripe is that although left/right swap is easy - with only 1mm spacers you cannot set it to centre on an odd-number thickness board eg 13mm. When you swap left to right you end up with holes centred at 6mm & 7mm in this instance especially when you have holes at each end of the same piece. These 0.5mm offsets are a pain.The trick is to work off the same faceboth top and bottom so the offset is constant (either 6mm or 7mm) - the fact that it is not dead-centre is acceptable with most boards. However, to achieve this you have to swap the end stop on the jig over each time : that is the pain.Another end-stop plate so that you can use either end as the datum would make this perfection for speed. You can do it - but it becomes a faff in a semi=production operation with lots of pieces to match up. AND you have to keep your wits about you and ensure you mark your 'face-sides'.Other than that minor quibble - it is a top quality piece of kit that does the job really well - worth the 70-odd quid.

I can't do justice to this product in a quick review. Suffice to say it more than halved my time to build a toy for my son, eliminated rework and produced an excellent finish. For an amateur like me, it's invaluable.

This might seem a little expensive at first.But if you’ve made the mistake of buying cheaper/inferior dowelling jigs and getting poor/irregular joints it soon dawns on you that when you use this jig for the first time & your results a clean & precise accurate joint. It’s money well spent!.

...magic bit of kit..a bit pricy for what it is, but I guess you pay for the idea...saying that it appears very well made and hopefully will last well.Used it "in anger"..absolutely brill bit of kit. Saved loads of time when compared with the "traditional" method of using studs.

Excellent product. Does the job quickly and efficiently and a really well engineered kit. I should have purchased this first off. Makes jointing a pleasure!

An excellent tool when used with due care and attention to the set-up. Can create a much longer row of dowel holes by using one dowel (or the shank of a spare drill) as an index pin to maintain accurate hole spacings along both mating faces. I have produced joints of 800mm length like that.

Fantastic tool for woodworking hobbyists. Very well made, and very accurate. Built an organiser for my wardrobe, and it all went together perfectly using this tool and some wood glue.

Impressed with the accuracy of my results. With a bit of care and thought you really can make accurate joints quickly. Magic.
