Good design for price
I was super disappointed with a previous budget keyboard + mouse from a different brand (which I ended up returning) and decided to try my luck with this one. Needless to say I kept my expectations super low. Surprisingly, I ended up being fairly happy with this product! Works great with my Samsung tablet.- Design: As seen in the pictures, the keyboard is slightly raised in the back (likely necessary to store the batteries). I didn’t find this to be uncomfortable at all. It’s low enough to still be viable for long typing sessions. The keyboard itself is super light, which is great for portability.- Keys: The scissor switch keys seem to be of decent quality and it doesn’t feel like Macally has cut any corners here. Considering this is a slimdesign, they’re fairly ‘punchy’ and don’t sink into the keyboard or feel mushy at all. The layout is fairly standard so I was able to start typing naturally right out of the box.- Battery life: Haven’t had it long enough to be able to test this yet, but I do appreciate that there’s an off switch for both the keyboard and mouse. Additionally I feel the AAA batteries are a better deal versus rechargeable devices so I don’t have to worry about the diminishing returns with charge cycles over time.- Responsiveness: As this is using a 2.4Ghz channel, I don’t have to worry about Bluetooth lag. So far everything has felt instantaneous.- Mouse: The mouse is super slim, which was surprising at first. So if you’re looking for an ergonomic mouse or your hands are on the larger side then this might be a bit uncomfortable after long usage. However if you’re looking for something slim and portable that you can store anywhere, then this should be a bonus. The quiet mouse clicking felt a bit unusual at first but I’ve actually come to like this feature. Tracking seems solid and DPI adjustment is nice to have.Overall I think this is a great product, especially if you need something to throw in your backpack for traveling or are looking for a more natural setup to replace your typical cramped tablet keyboard. The usual saying is "you get what you pay for," however in this case I think Macally did a great job for the price point.

Compact and Quiet Work Duo—Ideal for Essential Office Tasks
**Macally Small Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo****Compact and Quiet Work Duo—Ideal for Essential Office Tasks**I recently purchased the Macally Small Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo as an addition to my home office setup, and it has quickly become an essential tool for my daily work routine. This compact and quiet combo offers a great balance of functionality and portability, making it perfect for those who need a simple yet effective work solution.**What I Liked:**- **Compact and Space-Saving Design**: The first thing that stands out about this combo is its compact design. The keyboard is small and lightweight, making it perfect for those with limited desk space or who need a portable option for working on the go. The mouse is also compact but fits comfortably in hand, providing easy navigation without taking up much room.- **Quiet Typing and Clicking**: Both the keyboard and mouse are designed to be quiet, which is a big plus for anyone who works in a shared space or prefers a quieter work environment. The keys on the keyboard have a soft touch and produce minimal noise, while the mouse clicks are nearly silent. This makes it ideal for late-night work sessions or when you don’t want to disturb others.- **Reliable Wireless Connection**: The 2.4G wireless connection is strong and reliable, with no noticeable lag or dropouts during use. The keyboard and mouse connect quickly to the included USB receiver, and I haven’t experienced any issues with connectivity. The wireless range is also good, allowing me to move around my workspace without losing connection.- **78 Key Layout**: The 78 key layout is straightforward and easy to use, with all the essential keys you need for everyday tasks. Despite its small size, the keyboard still includes function keys and shortcuts that are useful for productivity. It’s a no-frills design that focuses on the essentials, which is exactly what I was looking for in a compact keyboard.- **Simple Setup**: Setting up the combo was a breeze. It’s a plug-and-play system, so there’s no need to install any drivers or software. Just plug the USB receiver into your computer, and the keyboard and mouse are ready to use immediately. This simplicity is great for those who want a hassle-free setup process.- **White Aesthetic**: The white color gives the combo a clean and modern look that fits well with my home office decor. It’s a nice change from the standard black peripherals and adds a touch of style to my workspace.**What I Didn’t Like:**- **Limited Ergonomics**: Due to its compact size, the keyboard doesn’t offer much in terms of ergonomics. The keys are slightly smaller than those on a full-sized keyboard, which might take some getting used to, especially for users with larger hands. The mouse, while comfortable, is also on the smaller side and might not be ideal for extended use if you prefer a more ergonomic design.- **No Backlit Keys**: The keyboard lacks backlit keys, which can make it difficult to use in low-light conditions. While this isn’t a dealbreaker, it’s something to consider if you often work in dim environments. A backlit option would have been a nice addition, especially for late-night work.- **Battery-Powered**: Both the keyboard and mouse are powered by batteries (AA for the keyboard and AAA for the mouse), which means you’ll need to keep spare batteries on hand. While the battery life is decent, it would be more convenient if the combo offered a rechargeable option. However, the batteries are easy to replace, and the devices seem to be fairly power-efficient.- **Basic Features**: This combo is designed for basic use, so it lacks some of the advanced features found in higher-end keyboards and mice, such as programmable keys or customizable buttons. If you need a lot of extra functionality, this might not be the best choice. However, for essential tasks, it works perfectly well.**Bottom Line:**The Macally Small Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo is a solid choice for anyone looking for a compact, quiet, and reliable work setup. It’s perfect for those with limited space or who need a portable option for working on the go. While it lacks advanced features and ergonomic design, it excels in simplicity and ease of use. The quiet operation, easy setup, and modern aesthetic make it a great addition to any home office or workspace. If you’re looking for a basic yet effective keyboard and mouse combo for essential tasks, this one is a great option that I’m happy to have in my setup!

Lightweight and easy to use
I’ve been using this product for several months. It’s lightweight and easy to transport since it is wireless. They quickly connect to my laptop and work well. They are both easy to use but are fairly small for regular use. Would be great for travel.

Great deal! Just what I was looking for.
Great! Silent mouse clicks. The keyboard is extremely light and easy to maneuver, small so I can set it aside easily. I use this wireless combo to switch between my Raspberry Pi or my laptop in my home lab. Both devices connecting to a single wireless adapter is great. Oh also the keyboard feels nice to type with, and the mouse is responsive. Great deal. I kind of wish they came with rechargeable AAA batteries, but they do come with batteries.
