Bought for my 7 year old granddaughter. She hasn’t shown an interest them but the 10 year old granddaughter is able to do the craft by herself and loves them.

If you have a crafty kid, this kit will be the best gift!

I thought this would be a great craft to do with my story hour children who range in age from 4 to 7. But once I've worked with the craft, I think that they would need an awful lot of help. I chose to do the easiest one, the caterpillar. It was mostly a matter of stuffing and putting rubber bands on, but getting rubber bands on in the right place at the right tightness to hold the balls of stuffing in would be above the skill set of most young kids. So this is definitely one to do WITH your young kids. I think 9-12 year olds would easily be able to do this on their own.Everything is included in this set except scissors. But the glue leaves something to be desired. My glue was sealed shut down inside the neck of the bottle with thick plastic of the same type as the bottle itself, meaning that it couldn't be easily punctured. I looked and looked for a peel off or pull off place and could find no way to get it open. So I had to find something small enough and pointy enough to puncture the plastic. I finally ended up with a mini flathead screwdriver that made a slit through the plastic, and then I was actually able to use the glue. The glue is thick enough not to run and held the eyes in place without having to sit and hold them for awhile. It dried relatively quickly: quicker than Elmer's glue and about the length of time that turbo tacky glue dries.I think if the entire kit were just the caterpillar, I would go ahead and use it with my group of kids. As it is, I think that the other animals - while very cute - require a lot more expertise. The donut might also be doable if you precut the brown felt for the icing. So, it's a very cute idea and a good use of old or unmatched socks, but it's definitely a kit for older kids.

She is 6 years old and loved spending time together making crafts. These were very easy to make (but not too easy) and we both loved how cute the turnout was! Good rainy day activity!

Glue was dry when it got here my kids were sad about that cause I had to use my hot Glue gun and they wanted to place the eyes

This was a birthday gift for a 6 year old and she absolutely loved it! She made all 6 plush toys and wanted to make more. The instructions were easy to follow and she was able to do most of it on her own. There was no mention of how much stuffing to use per sock so make sure to measure equal amounts when you start to make sure you have enough in each. We ended up with extra. Also we ran out of glue to finish all the projects, but luckily I had some other glue that worked fine.

I gave this to my kids and pretty much left them to do it on their own. The instructions were easy to follow and my kids had a blast! This craft project kept them occupied for a good part of the day. They still play with their sock puppets. Some of the googly eyes fell off, but that's likely because they didn't put enough glue or allow it to set before playing with. Easy & fun craft project to keep kids entertained!
