The Capture Card does good job!
I use the capture card to record my online meetings with my family. It does very good job. Pros: OBS will recognize capture card instantly, and will work right away. Make sure all cables are good before plug them in. Cons: It is getting pretty hot. I use tiny fan just to be on safe side. After trying many other el-cheapo cards, I can tell you: it is good price for the card. If you looking for good card with fair price - buy DIGITNOW 4K Plus Video Capture Card.

Read this before you consider to buy
So you are looking for a device to record video, right? This product only required three cables, one HDMI from source, one power cable, and USB to computer. But, how do you record it? This product from manual asks you to download a open source software!! OK, fine, however, it doesn't work well (not doesn't work) for video quality. I have tried MacBook Pro, and two windows laptop, the video quality is really bad because that open source software cannot let you setup 4K or at least better quality display. It relies on that UBD cable connect to another PC that running Windows/Mac/Linux, which is actually due to that open source tool, not because that device itself is that good. So if you already have a software to record screen, why don't you use it at source desktop/laptop, not redirecting it to another desktop/laptop and record a very bad quality video output? Easy to use has two STARs because Window/Mac can detect this device automatically without problem, but a product relies on open source tool is really not good.

Do not buy!
The one I got produces video that looks like a screen smeared with vaseline. Back it goes and I guess I keep trying until I get one that works. Test videos on YouTube show a completely different and far better video quality to what I got.Replacement works but is finicky. Just had to retry hooking it up like 5 times before it would work. I have already initiated return of this POS. I like to save money but this is just junk. I ordered an Elgato internal card and I am sending this garbage back. Please don't waste your time making my mistake. I wasted a month of my life trying to save $150. It really isn't worth it.There are different kinds of scams. This one just seeks to gaslight you until you run out of options.

Does not work with 4K video!
Although this is advertised to work with 4K video, the stream that is passed through to the USB cable is not 4K. I am trying it with a Tivo Stream 4K and it is plugged directly into the device with no additional cables. I have verified that the display settings in the Tivo device are set to 4K but the resolution of the video feed coming from this capture card device is 1080 at best. I have tried several different methods of trying to capture it but it is the same resolution. My recommendation is to go with a 1080 HD capture device (which you can find for about $20) and gives you the same results.

Works good for capturing camcorder or other video camera output from HDMI
This is a decent box for capturing 4k video. I've tested it with a Sony A7R4 camera in 4k and the quality is very good! It does not require any drivers to work with windows programs such as Teams, Zoom or OpenBroadcaster (OBS). Pretty much just plug it in and it works. It will accept input video at up to 4k x 60hz from a game console or other computer and pass it through to the monitor on the output port. The video it captures to the computer has a max of 4k x 30hz. Higher frame rates are available if you turn down the resolution a bit. It also has mic in and headphone out jacks which could be handy if you are a game streamer.I use it mainly as a video input device for Unreal Engine Virtual production and it works very well for that. Also occasionally for videoconferencing, so far there have been no problems, it just works. One curious thing about this is that it has a female USB-A port to connect it to your computer so you need a cable with a USB-A male on both ends to hook it up. They include one and you can buy these cables on Amazon if you need a longer one. This is not a type of cable most people have laying around, so don't lose it! Not sure why they would choose to do it this way, a USB-C connector would have been a better choice because everyone has cables for those. This device (and almost all others) does NOT work with copy protected video! It should work with game consoles, PCs and cameras as long as they aren't playing something like a copyrighted movie. This also means it won't work with the copy protected output of a video set-top box. So you can't use it to record TV and movies from over-the-air TV or streamed sources.
