Fits the E30 325is, no more 1221
Worked great on my 1990 E30 325is. Got it here for $58 which is pretty darn good. If the old sensor has been installed correctly, it has been torqued to 55 ft/lbs so bear in mind, it will take some elbow grease to remove. Spray some WD-40 at the connection between the old O2 sensor and manifold. Let it soak an hour or two, that way it's easier to remove and you won't strip the threads -- wipe it clean with a rag before installing the new sensor. Just be careful with the new sensor, you don't want any anti-seize or silicone spray on the sensor head.I used a standard long handle 22mm wrench to do the install, couldn't use my torque wrench so I just cranked it tight. Car is running great now and no more 1221 error code.

Real OEM BMW Oxygen Sensor - yeah, it works PERFECTLY
My 1991 325i e30 was running rough, and my scan tool indicated the Oxygen sensor threw a fault Code. I usually buy my BMW parts at Pelican Parts, but they wanted too much $$ for this Oxygen sensor, too much $$ shipping cost, and too long to ship it ... so I found this one on Amazon, and gave it a chance. It arrived on my Prime-Time schedule, and was a simple plug and play install. Now my fun little e30, 5-speed, go cart purrs like a kitten. I will buy from this seller again.

Used as replacement on a 1995 BMW E36 325i
I used this as a replacement for an obdI E36 325i. So this will work for 1992-1995 E36 obdI bmws.Got for a little under $60 prime. If you go to ecstuning or pelicanparts, this will be around $100. The bmw oem oxygen sensor is near $200.To take off the old O2 sensor, you should buy the oxygen sensor tool and use a flex head ratchet that is longer than your normal ratchet for more leverage, the old O2 sensor is stuck on there pretty tight. My O2 sensor was in the difficult to reach place on top of the exhaust before he catalytic converter.

it will connect just fine with a little slack
This DOES work on BMW E30s with the M42 engine (90s 318i, 318is, 318ic, etc). The length of cable you will have will NOT be as long as the as the intended part but if you take the plug connector that's in the engine bay out of it housing, it will connect just fine with a little slack. Use provided zip ties to secure if need be. Works as intended and haven't had a "Check Engine" light pop up in the week after install. Many thanks to the previous reviewer who stated this does work. I wouldn't have pulled the trigger on this if I didn't see it and I'm here to back up their claim.

Leads a bit short on 1992 318ic but can be made to work.
This o2 sensor fits ok however the wire leads are about 4-6 inches too short. Installation us a breeze however on a 1992 E30 318i cabriolet the leads are a bit short. I may cut and splice the connector which will of course could any warranty I nay have had.
