Gentle and very effective pet shaver!
This is a great shaver for pets! It is very quiet and has a sharp enough cutting edge to remove the unwanted hair without pulling and causing any discomfort. My cat is sensitive and skittish and typically bolts as soon as she sees me coming with a scissors. But her hair is very fine and mats quickly and deeply. She has to be brushed daily and sometimes that is not enough and serious mats form. This shaver is perfect! Does the job and my cat didn't even realize that I removed a large handful of her matted fur. Thank you! No more battles just to groom her!

Works on mats and very fine hair.
Great for a cat with extremely fine hair that mats easily and hates scissors and other clippers with a passion, thus his mats were getting pretty bad. The clippers are great on unmatted hair but aren't fast for mats on an impatient cat who will fight you when he gets tired of it. If you buy this for mats take your time be gentle and don't try to force it and it works well a little at a time and use it without the comb attachments. It was worth it for me. The noise and vibration are minimum, and I think that's why my cat tolerated it.

Pretty Good
It does pretty well for simple clippers. It’s quiet and doesn’t bother my cat. It doesn’t do a great quality job, struggles with longer fur and when you get close to the skin. It is nearly useless for shaving off mats, even small, minor ones. Overall, it’s a nice, basic tool to keep at home for basic maintenance.

If you have a long haired cat - BUY THIS!!
Lightweight small quiet works SO WELL. I buzzed my feisty mainecoon when his back got matted from rolling around. He didn't even move....this was a lifesaver and I'll never have to use scissors to cut those out if they occur again.Highly recommend this - no doubt just buy this if you have a long haired cat.Came with a cute little bag and cord to charge. Love love love it.

Great fir Maine Coon mats
I bought this to trim up my Maine Coon's mats. I previously sat with scissors to try to remove the mats, but I was concerned with cutting his skin. I gave this a shot. The tool is cordless and comes with a charge cable (you provide the USB outlet adapter). It is fairly quiet. My cat was not scared of it. It does have a plastic cutting blade, which at first I thought was a concern butt it has worked fine with no issues. Some of the other reviews mention that it is super slow. So, as of this review I have removed multiple mats of various sizes. One was almost as large as my hand. Others were the size of olives. For the ones that are very close to the skin, you have to use the trimmer with no blade adjusters on. you have to get under the mat and right against the skin. You also have to go with the skin and keep rotating around to other angles. Once you do that, you can remove the mats pretty quickly. You cannot cut through the mat - that is impossible with these cutters. But you need to cut the hair beneath it.I feel that the trimmers are much safer than scissors and also do a better job at a fraction of the time. Granted my cat looks funny with patches gone, but that doesnt really matter. I havent cut his skin with these at all. I would highly recommend these for anyone else with matted cat hair issues.

Works great
Works great for sanitary shave on my long hair cats. Haven’t use it for anything else yet. But seems to shave very smooth has a very low humming sound that don’t bother my cats at all. Great value for the price.

Top much fur.....small unit
I have a very very very furry cat and I wanted to be able to trim up his backside as he brings pieces out of the litter box. With the guard it didn't do a thing. Without any guard it really is not perfect for the amount of hair this cat deals with. It seems to charge fine and keeps a charge and it nice and compact...but it's gonna take multiple attempts to mow down this fur.

It Does the Job
My cat is 25 years old, short-haired, and a matted mess. Yes, I take some of the blame on this for not keeping up with brushing her. The last several months of my life have been a hellish landscape of hospitals and recoveries.I knew going into this that this clipper is a far cry from the ones I used to use when I was a professional groomer (for 20 years). But, I sold off my clippers and tools years ago when I left the trade. A solid, professional clipper would have made short work of this mess, but they are also very loud. Being that my cat is 25, I wanted to make the experience the least stressful as possible. The clipper is very quiet. But it is also not the most powerful. It will take time to do this and you have to move slow. This clipper won't zip through hard mats like a $300 Wahl or Oster. You need to take your time and be careful not to nick the skin. I worked on her for about 10 minutes, getting the back and chest. She took it very well, as if she was being brushed, but when she started getting antsy and the claws were coming out for a warning, I backed off and let her go, as always happened when I brushed her. I still have to do her belly, but that'll be tomorrow. I noticed the charge going down near the end of the 10 minutes, too (the sound changing). So I had to charge it up anyway for the next round.I think this is a decent clipper for anyone who hasn't shaved a cat before. It's not as aggressive as a pro clipper and I feel it is a safer alternative. It's easy to slip with a turbo powered clipper and cut skin (I was once an apprentice, we all make mistakes), especially around the flaps behind the front legs and on front of the back. You have more control, moving slowly with this one. The quietness may help with cats who would spook with a loud buzzer.
