Ships with debian/debian user
Mine works great, and I didn't need the serial port. Out of the box it does DHCP (with a random MAC), and gets an IP address, and has user debian with password debian in sudoers, so you can log in over ssh once you find the address. My emmc was formatted to 1gb.

Having fun now (Just need to get Internet to it...)
I got this for fun. At first, I had trouble, but ended up getting a second one, and both seem to be working fine, now. Using it is reminiscent of a Raspberry Pi Zero without HDMI. (Not the $10 Zero W, as that has Wifi and Bluetooth, which this does not, just the $5 one with its HDMI broken or something.) An advantage is an on-board power and reset button pair, so it doesn't need a USB switch. It uses Linux 3.14.52 and u-boot 2015.04. It has apt package manager. My WiFi dongle (GenBasic with MT7601U chipset) is only detected as a USB device, rather than wlan0, so TTL is needed for login and ethernet for Internet.Box contains SBC, (packed with desiccant,) power cord to connect the board to a 2A USB-A power plug, quick start guide from old defunct company, and a note taped to the box lid with github and wiki URLs and support email addresses from the new company. No CD, but it is set up to boot from eMMC. [Edit: I think they read my review and changed CD to cassette. Lol]TTL for the one I received had static until I got a new TTL adapter, though the old one works perfect on a Raspberry Pi Zero. Only TTL allows root login, so I made another account and added it to the sudo group, in case the static comes back. GitHub has a text document to find images and other info. SDcard boots well. SDcard is /dev/mmcblk0, eMMC is /dev/mmblk1 and USB drives are /dev/sd* which confused me a bit. When I had trouble logging in as root at first, I emailed the support address found taped inside, and received a helpful reply within 5 hours, though I missed it in the spam folder for a few days.
