DING DONG - AND MORE
Really pleased with this purchase for a number of reasons.1) It works - and responds immediately to the button press - unlike other cheap makes reviewed on Amazon.2) There is a choice of sounds - most of them as daft as you like, but fun - and I may use some of the Christmas rings in December. As other reviewers have noted - no instructions, but not really necessary. Just plug in, press the little button on the side of the plug-in unit and it plays a ring - press again and it plays the next - etc. It sets itself on the last one you selected.3) The traditional 'DING DONG' (which I favour) plays twice - as if the caller has rung twice - very useful if you have limited brain cells like myself. More chance to hear the ring.4) It has a huge advantage over its competitors on the plug in unit. As you can see on the picture display, it does not rob you of a plug socket - vital in my house which has the bare minimum. You can plug others into the unit. Furthermore (and this was a surprise) it is slim enough NOT to overlap if you plug it into a double socket. You can still plug in to the socket next to it - not the case with other plug-ins and adaptors I have bought.5) No volume control but (for me) just enough volume to hear but not to give you a coronary when it is set up in the room you most inhabit. My last doorbell was so loud my neighbour used to rush to her door!6) VERY CHEAP - with advantages over other cheap doorbells. You could pay a lot more for one of the expensive bells advertised but ... guess what ... it will go 'ding dong' just the same.7) It's white - unobtrusive both on my white doorframe and white wall sockets.DING DONG, BABY! UNRESERVED RECOMMENDATION.

Plug-in wireless door chime.
Mixed feelings: Bought for my son's new home and I have something similar myself. Compared with my own version I thought that the plug through design was excellent, allowing the plug socket to still be available for other devices. The case is not unduly large compared with similar devices. The transmitter unit is reasonably robust, easy to install and came with all fittings, including double-sided tape for the less handy among us. It doesn't have a waterproofing gasket, so time will tell if the case is sufficiently watertight to keep damp out. It worked over a decent distance (10M) through two walls. It is certainly loud! There are 16 different `tunes' selected by pressing a button on the side of the receiver sequentially - you will be sick of them all by the time you've cycled through the lot. To my ear, only a `Westminster Chime' seemed tolerable!. Personally I'd have preferred less tunes (or just one) and a volume control. Does the job and good value for money. Have to see about weatherproofing.

Good, easy setup. Works well.
Nice little bit of kit. Had a small issue with my neighbours doorbell setting my ringer off, and vice versa, but this was easily sorted by removing a small jumper to change the frequency.Easy to install, just plug it in where you want it (don't put it beside your armchair, otherwise you'll need an incontinence sheet!) and attach the push button to the door. Screws are included for wooden doors and frames, as is a foam sticky fixing pad for PVC doors. There is also a small instruction leaflet detailing how to change the frequency should you so require.Use the button on the side of the plug in unit to select your 'tune'. These are a bit of a disgrace, but there is the standard 'ding dong' which I envisage 99% of users will select. I do find the unit quite loud, and there is no volume control so I plug it in in the hallway just outside my living room. This provides just the right volume to be alerted to the presence of a guest, but negates the need for fresh underwear each time it is activated.Plugs straight in to the mains, no wiring needed. Even has a plug-through socket, so that you won't have to give up the outlet...Perfect no hassle solution.

IT WORKS WELL, BUT, OH ! THOSE CHIMES...
Paid heed to the reviews and thought this came out best for my purposes - especially the thru-socket. I was tempted to buy one of the twin sets so as to have the chimes at both ends of the house, but then I thought, when I go to a remoter bit I can just take the chimes with me and plug in close by - big mistake... When you unplug it, the chimes reset to the default, which is an excruciating rendition of Beethoven's "Fuer elise", guaranteed to make any music lover foam at the mouth. You can run through the chimes sequentially by pressing the little button on the side - but if you have nobody to press the doorbell for you, once you've stuck it to the door you can only do this by plugging the chimer in nearest the doorbell - unless you want to keep trotting to the other end of the house. And out of all the choices, it has only one plain ding-dong, unless you count Big Ben. Fortunately. I can hear it two rooms away, so it's going back to the side of the door.

Great budget doorbell
Works fine and easily installed with sticky pads on door. Chime has different "annoying" sounds 😀 but has pass through socket so you don't lose a power source

Warning - incompatible with earlier product from same supplier with same name.
Works just as advertised. I bought a pack of four which were on special offer - I have the bell units scattered round the house so that I don't miss the chime, and three spare push buttons in case they aren't as weather proof as one might hope (I see no rubber seal, for example). Three minor issues: (1) I had to choose a particular channel so that all push buttons worked with all ringers - that should not be the case! (2) after a power cut the power needed recycling on at least one ringer. (3) the selection of ring tune is lost after a power cut.Purchasing a second unit as a replacement I found that the new version has no programming for the channel, rendering it incompatible with the previous purchases. This is despite having the same product name DD-BC105. Renders the existing bell push and four ringers useless. The product description should be clear about this. Rating changed to 1.Would ask for a refund but as I'm shielding return to a Post Office or Amazon Drop-Off isn't possible. Not happy with wasted expenditure.
