WATSONS CHAK - 222 CD or 104 DVD Blu-ray Media Storage 6 Shelf Unit - Beech

I needed a DVD/Blu Ray unit to replace my old one after searching various websites I saw this unit I was a little apprehensive of purchasing this because it's made of MDF and I would've preferred solid wood but that's definitely more expensive. I was really surprised that the instructions were clear and straight forward also the unit was sturdy and the parts making up the unit were on the heavy side too. It took me about 15 minutes to put together. The beechwood effect looked really authentic and being able to adjust the shelves to the height I wanted meant that the DVD's /Blu Rays didn't look overcrowded or bunched up. I will definitely need to purchase a few more units one for the DVD's / Blu Rays and a separate one for my CD collection. My only gripe is that I wish this unit had been another foot taller and maybe twice or three times wider than it actually is. It arrived within 48 hours which surprised me because I was expecting it in the next 5 days beautifully packed too to damage no scratches nothing warped or chipped.. D. Pocha

Easily assembled in just a few minutes. Does the job and looks pretty good.

It's a perfectly fine CD-storage unit, easy to assemble, does the job well. My brain was obviously having the day off when I placed the order though. The only way I can describe my first reaction when I'd finished building it is... well, you remember the scene in Spinal Tap when the Stonehenge monolith is lowered down on to the stage? Yeah. A mistake entirely of my own doing. So ask yourself "do I, in fact, actually really need the five-hundred-and-something storage unit?" before you buy this one.

I needed to get all my DVD's together, very limited space. I purchased two of these units, ideal for what I wanted to do.Excellent purchase.

Good value and sturdy unit.Was a bit concerned that it would be top heavy and unstable on a carpeted floor as the top andbottom sections are the same size.Once built and filled with cd's it was fine with no wobbles or risk of it falling over , a strap and wallplug/screw is included if more security is needed and would be advisable if there are children present.Easy to assemble and although it feels flimsy initially once the shelves are in place ( they have cut-outs whichslot onto the metal supports ) it's solid enough.A tube of wood glue is provided and is essential for the top panel which is fixed to the sides with 4 wooden dowels and no screws .I only use for cd storage and with all the shelves adjusted to suit a small gap is left at the top of eachone making it easy to remove the selected disc.

This was easy to assemble. All the parts are numbered so almost impossible to make an error when assembling. Lovely looking once assembled

This item was not fit for purpose. Dowel holes were too small for the dowels.I had to widen the holes to get them to fit. While assembling the cabinet the veneer cracked. I can’t be bothered returning it because it is only fit for scrapping. Would not purchase anything from this supplier again.

The unit arrived earlier than expected, so thanks for that. It was easy to assemble however, it doesn't feel that sturdy.I'm using it to store DVD's & Blu-rays and it definitely doesn't hold 104 disk's as advertised, is it worth the cost? I feel it's overpriced in my opinion.
