Don't give up!
I imagine The reason this gets returned so often is because people give up trying to assemble it. I've assembled a lot of furniture in my day and am pretty good at it. This piece was a beast, an absolute beast to put together. In part the instructions weren't all that clear and in part it just goes together in a dumb way. But if you persevere, you will end up with a really nice table. It's a good size. The storage is surprisingly good. I love the fact that there are little places to put your remote or other things you want handy, but they're not necessarily sitting just on top of the table. It's an attractive table. Seems pretty solid for an inexpensive piece of furniture, it's heavy. So I don't really have anything negative to say about it, except that the assembly was a pain in the ass. The final bit of assembly was attaching the hydraulic lift to the table top. Some reviewers recommend having two people to do this and that would be a good idea. I did it myself and was able to do it but I couldn't find the third hole in the hardware so it's only being held with two screws on each side rather than three and even so this does seem sturdy enough.BOTTOM LINE: if you want a nice round coffee table with a quite a surprising bit of storage and you don't mind putting up with a headache of installation this is the table for you. it really is attractive and very functional. Prepare to sweat.

Pretty solid coffee table
This thing is heavy in the package, so move with caution. Everything was labeled (numbered stickers on each piece) and the tools came in their own separate compartment (with some extra screws just in case).I used the given Allen wrench for this whole thing, and it took about an hour to assemble by myself. Please please please listen to the review on here that says to do Step 1 & 2 and then immediately skip to Step 6 & 7. It saved me so much stress and strife because if you do the assembly in order, you’re going to have a bad time when it gets to the end (the hydraulic section for the lift-table). If you want to make your life easier, save Steps 3-5 for last. Plenty of functionality with the inside storage, side grooves and the base of the table itself. Had no issues with screws and holes either. It’s a really pretty espresso table. It lifts quiet. Feels sturdy. I don’t know how it will do with longevity for what it is, but it’s sufficient for now.Table is great. Seller uses Lasership/Ontrac which is virtually the worst service on the planet so just because it says Free One-Day Prime delivery, do not expect it in a day. Took much longer.

Decent piece
This is a decent table for a small space, the lift top is a bit wonky but opens and closes just fine, if you are careful, if you try to rush it it feels like it will break or tip the table over. All in all it's not a bad table, goes together pretty quickly, took me about 10 minutes to complete.

Perfect for my Living Room
I'm 71 and live alone with my little dog. I like to eat dinner in front of the TV screen while watching a movie. I've always used a TV tray but liked the concept of these 'lift top' coffee tables. Except they were generally too big, too long, and too heavy. This smaller round one is perfect for my space.I researched a lot of different smaller lift top coffee tables before deciding on this one. Nearly all of them had some sort of negative issue. For this one in particular, customers complained about installing the top all by themself, and how difficult it was. Let me make a suggestion. There are 7 actual steps to follow (all pictures, but they make it very clear) for assembling this coffee table. I did Step 1 and 2 first, then skipped over to Steps 6 and 7. This made attaching the hydraulic lifters to the top VERY easy, because I could flip the whole thing upside down on the carpeting, and easily attach the lifters to the top with nothing else in the way. Using my leg to support the top, I was able to finish screwing in the second lifter. Then I went to Steps 3, 4, and 5 to finish the legs and bottom shelf. The instructions are very clear, but they list the steps backwards IMO. Took me about 45 min from opening the box to completed setup. No power tools, just the Allen wrench only.If I can do this all by myself, anyone can. I love this table, it is in perfect condition, fairly water resistant and goes well with the rest of my furniture. Highly recommend!!

Great piece! Easy assembly
Great size for a space that can’t have rectangular or edges! Put together in 30 minutes and it’s quite heavy, not crapy wood.

Nice size, assembly instructions clear
Pleasantly surprised. The coffee table isn't overly big so I just have this at my cottage. It's easy to assemble and is quite solid. Has OK storage for remotes, magazines etc. Typical stuff but nothing too major, which is fine because I hate when drawers start to get cluttered. Great value for a nice piece of furniture.

Screws do not align
Had a harder than reasonable time putting in the screws due to cheap and poor alignment. Small spaces that big hands will have difficulty reaching. Took much longer than anticipated putting this table together. Also, if you’re assembling solo, know that you’ll need some acrobatic skill to balance table tops with one arm like a waiter/waitress and put screws in from an awkward position. Can’t just flip the table upside down to defy gravity because then you have no view of the screws. Won’t buy again due to the atrocity of putting together over unacceptable amount of spent time. See photos.

Great table
Sturdy and the lifting mechanism works great too. Went with the smaller size and it works well for my area. Was reasonably easy to put together - the inner screws required a second person to help.

Love this coffee table
I moved in with my daughter. So I downsized my furniture and I needed a table that would fit as a combo with my daybed. Using it as a coffee table, a storage unit and eating table. It is a very solid piece and was easy to assemble and fits my decor. It completes my living space.

Easy to assemble and great aesthetic.
We purchased this because we wanted to have a functional and multipurpose table for the living room. When the whole gang is together on movie nights we can raise the top, put our drinks, snacks, pizzas, around and have plenty of room for everything. The middle shelf is great for phones and drinks to keep them out of the way while eating. The colour is perfect for our decor and it is much more functional than a standard table. When raised the top is sturdy enough with the hydraulic lifter to keep it in place but it is a bit wobbly, but definitely not enough to cause any issue with stability or functionality. It took about an hour to put together and you definitely need two people for certain steps to hold/lift things together. Be careful not to overtighten any of the screws or you risk damaging the wood (which we did not do btw). Definitely a 4+ gold star product.

Cute, space efficient, the lift top feature is top notch
Might be the best mini table I've had. Does the job for a small apartment living room. I like that I can put the table further from the couch, and then open up the top towards the couch when I'm working on a laptop or eating

Awesome!
Got the table on a prime day sale. Just finished building it and we absolutely love it. Had a 3 tier rustic square coffee table before. This thing is bigger and better! Fits the room much better. Top opens and closes with relative ease. I say relative because if it were too easy then it wouldn't be sturdy. It feels solid. The only thing I'd suggest to future manufactured units, maybe provide 4 adhesive bumpers to put where to top meets the hidden compartment. If you buy this, I highly suggest adding some. We had a bunch in the store room. At first when closing the top, it sounded hard as it went down. Added 4 soft adhesive bumpers around the corners and now it settles like a dream, softly landing above the compartment. After a few hours I am very happy with the purchase. Oh! It's a bit of a pain to build. But satisfying when it's done.
