I am very happy with the dimmable hexagon light from this seller. The fact that they come with the ground wire may not be important to some, but I was glad that they do. The dimmable feature is nice, because the highest setting isn’t required all the time. I had one led that came slightly damaged, and the seller sent me a replacement in a reasonable time.Update: I purchased additional tubes from this seller, and I was successfully able to extend my grid to 22 hexagons. Communication with the seller was great (I hate to say it, but is not always the case when dealing with Chinese merchants). The shipping speed was surprisingly quick. The packages arrived from Shenzhen to the East coast in 5 days. I strongly recommend these lights and the seller.

So I wanted to purchase these lights due to the dimmable option. So to my surprise when my electrician tried 2 Lutron sliding dimmers I was at a lost. Gosolarit Manufacture were as helpful as they could be, but unfortunately all they could tell me to do is try a 16amp switch. I finally figured it out with more research. Unfortunately, the instructions are not clear as it relates to the dimmer switch needed. As it turns out, you don't need a dimmer switch because the dimmer or smart switches do not work with your product. Instead, your dimmable function is activated with flipping the switch on and off to change between the 3 phases/modes of the dimmable feature. I believe others have the same questions I had. For weeks I have been looking on YouTube, etc. Great lights just wish Gosolarit were as clear about the dimmable functions as the brand Hexglow. They literally state the following: • 3 phase switched dimming, will not work with slider switch or smart switch. Requires standard wall switch. Once again beautiful lights, but confusing with dimmable functions.

First there is not clear instructions on how to wire this assembly. I have used the get help system on Amazon with no real response.Second there is a bag of electrical connectors that the parts list and instructions do not list. They have three wire and 5 wire parts.The LED part goes together very nicely but is very flexible after it is assembled. I can not mount it directly to my ceiling so I would imagine I will need to fabricate a frame. I am sure this will be cool when it is installed but it is quite the chore.

I was very skeptical buying these lights, but I’m glad I did. Most of the name brand ones are 30-50% more. These were time consuming to install, but not challenging. I’d recommend these for anyone trying to transform their space.

This light is most certainly a showstopper. It takes a while to get it all put together, but once that’s done it looks great. You are also going to need some help putting this up, as it starts to flex if it’s not supported when you’re lifting it into place. If you are looking for a show stopping, bright light that doesn’t cast any shadows and makes your workspace or garage look like a showroom, or perhaps you want to liven up an office space or shop, this is it. It really adds a custom look that looks awesome.

This was grabbed to provide shadowless light over the area where my kids practice their nail art. When combined with a rainbow light it is a great fixture. Very easy to install if you're handy in the slightest bit. Work great, no flickering at all, connections snap together tightly and leave you worry free. Overall, a great buy.

I have this installed in my workshop/garage. As a garage light it's great for detailing. Nice and bright and no shadows since the light is coming from all over the place.As a workshop, I can easily see what I'm cutting and finishing. I hated the glass tube lights. Hit one with a 2x4 and you've got glass raining down everywhere. You can still break this but it's so much safer.Since it's so large it does take a while to assemble and mount. But it's easy to assemble. Depending on your existing wiring you may need an electrician.

There’s a lot to like and dislike with these lights, but in my opinion, they do come up a little short. I love that they add a cool vibe to my garage with SOME supplemental light. I did not put them on a dimmer switch, so I assume they are on full blast but basically put out some soft white light. They were fairly easy to put together although I ended up taking them a part a few times to get the connectors in the right places and then to put each light, so I didn’t have to see the writing on the sides of them (general lightbulb info). Pretty much everything in this kit is plastic with the exception of the little metal pins and the mounting screws. Speaking of which, they only include like 10-12 screws. Not sure if that’s so you don’t turn your ceiling into swiss cheese or they were just cheeping out. I ended up finding some other screws to supplement the installation with and put a screw in about every other connector. Fortunately, because everything is plastic, it’s all light weight. It will likely take 2 or more people to install them. I happened to be installing mine over where my garage door come up to, so I just placed it on top of the open garage door and used some longer screws as placeholders until I could get under it with a ladder. The only other thing I’ll mention is that while they skimped on screws, after installing the 5 hexagon shape, I still had 3 lights, 4 connectors, and a wiring whip left over, which feels kind of wasteful and useless. Now I need to find a place for the extras incase anything fails or throw them out and cross my fingers.
