Nice lock easy to use and looks really nice

Just installed it this weekend to a cabinet that I want to keep children away from. The lock looked pretty good and setting the passcode was easy enough. Obviously if a kid really wanted to get in they could as they could just bust the cabinet doors, but then I would know, which would be the whole point. The instructions came with color pictures which I though were great, and they provide extra screws depending on your application. So far so goood.

Easy to install. Used on a bi-fold door on a closet we are using as an owner's closet at a rental property. Not heavy duty security, but enough to show guests this closet is not for use.

The media could not be loaded.  Keeps my loved one from over-eating, at their request. We also have a different one for the refrigerator which helps too.

The lock is nice looking and is cleverly designed. It is easy to install and comes with a nice template to make mounting it easy.BUT, for the life of me, I do not understand why these manufactures do not include instructions with their products. No, I didn’t miss them as I unpacked the lock. I searched… nothing. Because you need the combination to install the lock, I had to guess at the sequence. Fortunately, I noticed it came with a small wire “key” used to change the combination. So, I figured the combination was all zeros. After that, I could install the lock and I also figured out how to change the combination. Still, I should not have to figure out, nor guess. I wouldn’t usually drop a star for no instructions, but in this case, they are important and them not being included is a problem. FYI, press the key into the hole on the side, keep pressure on it, set your new combination, release the pressure. At least that worked when I did it.Pro: Clean, clever design. Easy to install. This is a great hasp/lock combo. It's really well made, materials are good, finish is excellent enough to look right at home in the house, though I put it on the side door of my barn to replace an older hasp and padlock.I think the quality is quite good and I appreciated that they include a stencil so you can pre-drill holes for it and not have to worry about not getting it installed just right.I only have 2 issues with it. First, my eyesight is not as good as it used to be and while the numbers are okay with glasses on, I sure wish they had made them larger so I could work it without having to drag glasses out of my pocket. Second, the integrity of any hasp depends on the screws used to install it. If you're putting it into a cement surface the anchor/screws will be fine, but if you're putting in on a wood surface, you might want to upgrade to a larger and longer screw than the little ones they include. It wouldn't take much effort with a crowbar to rip those screws out. In fact, if you want to take it a bit further and can access the rear of the panel this is attached to, make a little metal backing plate and then use a bolt and nut to fasten it place.In any case, the unit itself is good looking, made well and works well.

This combo lock is good for things like cabinet doors or maybe shed doors. The applications are limited to the door opening type, but it does work fine for the doors that slide or pull open, provided there is a place to mount it. Also the screws limit it to a lower level of security than I was hoping for.The metal parts and combination lock mechanism are both well made. Feeling solid and not cheap.There is a guide for installing the screws that matches the mount points very well. It made for an easy installation. I do think the included screws are pretty short and you may want to find longer screws for certain applications. For cabinet doors, the included are fine. But for my shed, they are too short to really feel like I've added much real security.Also, it was disappointing that there were no real combination setting instructions. Mine was set to all zero's. So I had to figure out how to use the tool that came with the unit to set a new combo. I found pushing the included pin/tool into the small opening, pressing and holding, set the new numbers, and release - worked for me.It's a nice lock, but somewhat limited in how much security it can provide as well as where it can be installed.
