The media could not be loaded. Dehydrating food has come so far with respect to ease, amount of food, and space taken up! I am 45 in 2025, so for you young pups, this might come as a surprise, but our grandmothers used to dehydrate food by turning the oven to 200° and leaving the door open. It helped to warm up the kitchen that way as well. There was the more native way, now more commonly referred to as “bushcraft” where a large pile of wood would be lit and once the fire was extremely hot, it would be closed in, starving it for oxygen and creating lots of smoke. This could be done in smoke house out buildings or with pieces of wood leaned around center bars to hang fish and meat from to dehydrate and help preserve for the colder months when food was more scarce.Now I do a lot of organic gardening and can't possibly eat everything that I grow before it goes bad. I have frozen much of it, but that takes up a lot of space in my freezer that I could use for something else.In comes fabulous little device that checks all the boxes for me. Its beautiful in stainless steel, heats fast, keeps a consistent temperature, and is really pretty quiet. There are 12 large trays that slide in and each tray includes a silicone mat for things like making fruit roll-ups!Time and temperature are controlled by to very easy to turn knobs that have blue led lighting indicating the time remaining and the set temperature of the dehydrator.I have a 20+ year old dehydrator that worked alright, but there were some issues and they all revolved around the trays being stacked on top of each other. If I needed to flip the fruit on the bottom tray, I had to remove the 3 trays above it first. Also, the round shape made placing long items impossible.I've been wanting a dehydrator like this style for years and finally pulled the trigger and I'm only looking forward from here!I can't believe that I can see through a glass door and see each individual tray and we can all be in the same room without trouble having a conversation - even if its running! I LOVE that point especially! It is too inconvenient to have to move people or appliances just to have a conversation.I love this easy to use decide.Ooohhh!!! I almost forgot! It comes with a full-color, easy to read and understand recipe book with time and temp directions for dehydrating whatever your heart desires.I love this machine and keep using it and know that now that summer is around the corner, ill be using it much more often to preserve all the goodies from my garden. This dehydrator is exactlly what I was looking for as an upgrade from my thrift-store Ronco unit that I used for several years. The 12 trays are large enough to hold more than everything I want to dehydrate, and allows me to batch prep ingredients and snacks with its large capacity.I love that it has digital time and temperature controls, which makes it easy to set and use. The stainless steel construction is easy to wipe down and doesn't hold odors. It has large fans that push a lot of air, and its surprisingly quiet when it is working. The metal trays are easy to clean., and food doesn't stick to them.Overall, this dehydrator is great for anyone who is a gardener, hunter, or simply a fan of homemade and preservative-free snacks.

Heavier than I thought it would be, mostly because of the trays, they are very sturdy. Comes with silicone tray liners and a “pot holder”. Going through the user manual now, but I’m excited for this one. It’s quiet (doesn’t sound at all like the hair dryer styles I’ve tried in the past-you know, the ones that cost like $39!). Heats up pretty quickly and dials from 12 hours to 30 minutes! (Have to power down to go back up the dial, didn’t see a way to get it to go back up one I passed my target time. Have 20+ pounds of apples that will be going in once it’s been warmed up a few times to “break it in”. Can’t wait!

I’ve gradually upgraded dehydrators over the years, my last one was an Excalibur, which still works, 15+ years later. This one is a higher quality build and works like a professional machine. It also has a lot of room to spread out the products. I can do marinated beef jerky strips in 4.5 hrs, which would take 12+ hours in the Excalibur! I love it! Got it at an amazing price, as well.

The outer packaging could be improved. There is styro at the top and bottom of the unit, but not around the sides. The box seemed fine, but the unpacked unit had a large dent down the entire right front side of the door and the glass had popped off in places from the impact. We wanted it for immediate use, and the rest of the package was pristine and well-assembled, so we will not return. Instead we resorted to a mallet, some grip vises, and food-safe epoxy. Within an hour all was well, and the electrical components were unaffected. I would still recommend this machine, as it was by far the best price for the desired size and wattage.

First one arrived with a dent in the door. Small but since is going to sit on our countertop,my wife decided she wanted to send it back for one that was not damaged.That process went seamlessly and we received a new, undamaged dehydrator the next day.We promptly washed the racks and started dehydrating fruit. It has been dehydrating for 4 days now non-stop flawlessly.This is a great dehydrator so far. It is quiet and holds a lot of fruit.We sliced and dried 16 good sized apples and still had room.I hope this dehydrator holds up to the usage. Will see.

Wow, this dehydrator is absolutely amazing. I’ve been dehydrating my herbs and apples for years now, and I’ve been using smaller plastic ones. But I’m trying to get away from using plastic, and this one has replaced all three of my old plastic ones. It’s amazing, so easy to use and program, and it works so well. It hold a ton, and the temperature control is very intuitive. I can’t recommend it enough.

Bought it for my mom and sister to use. Easy to use. It can put lots of fresh food. It's stainless steel so it blend in with my other appliances. It works grea and I like the temperature control.
