The remote power supply (supplied) makes powering this unit easy- just plug it into a domestic power socket "loop through" the down-coming coax cable from your aerial (note that both the power unit and the "mast head"unit use "F" connectors - these are cheap & in my view easier to fit than "co-ax plugs"). If you are doing a new installation you "should" run all your cables close to the aerial (you don't want too long a cable from the aerial to this unit). This time I was lucky- the aerial was in the loft (not usual best practice - attenuates signal) and all 4 "down-comers' were easy to access. The built in attenuator might be needed if your signal is unusually strong and you are using this more as a distribution point rather than needing its amplifying ability

Great item, really turned around my attic aerial's reception.Initially I ran into a problem with the power supply unit which wasturning itself off when connected to my houses co-ax wiring.This was caused by damage in the attic where a small section ofcopper core shorting off the copper shield.

Doesn't work. Instructions are poorly written.
