I have a high instep so I could not even get them on. They are beautiful boots so I’m sad they did not work out for me

I absolutely love these boots, but like other reviewers also had difficulty putting them on. I have a small foot, size 5 shoe, but bought them in a 6 to wear with thicker socks. I needed to put on a nylon-type sock to get my foot in. I don't believe I have a high arch and have never had this issue with any other boots I've purchased so it just may be the angle where the shaft meets the bottom of the boot. I ordered a boot horn so will see if that helps so I haven't given up yet!

Lots of compliments when getting them custom fitted at an equestrian shop. Beautiful color and materials. Should last a long time.

The boots are a Christmas gift and remain in their shipping package. The fit will be determined when opened. I am hopeful. I love the look, feel and color of the leather. The rating is based on anticipation not actual experience.

I could not get my foot into the shoe of the boot. There was plenty of room in the calf area but not enough room for my foot to pass the ankle area and slip down into the boot. I had to return them. Wish they would have had a zipper.

A well made boot of quality leather. When the box is opened, one can see that the boot looks like a ranch boot and not like a dress boot. Boot runs narrow in the instep, hard to get foot into foot bed, there is no zipper.

Love the look and feel of the boots but had to return them because I couldn’t get them on tried hard for three times and knew I had to send them back sad beautiful boots

Please note that the 2* is my personal rating on the boot. If I had a lower arch, I'm sure there would be many, many more stars. First off, these boots are BREATHTAKING. I opened the box and even my husband, who usually has zero interest in anything I put on my feet, commented on how beautiful (ok, he didn't actually use the word beautiful) and high quality the leather was. I slid one on my foot and... no wait, I didn't slide one on my foot... because I couldn't. I have average width feet with average height arches and my foot had zero chance of making it through the shaft and around the heel into this boot. I suppose I could have some slippery tights and squeezed into it with abundant force but Frye boots have a reputation of lasting for years and tights are not my every day attire. And I had visions of having to literally cut the boot off my foot to remove it. It reminded me a little of the episode of Friends where Ross gets stuck in the leather pants. So here I had these boots - probably the most gorgeous boots I've ever had in my possession - and there was no way I could keep them. It was a sad, sad day.If you have low arches, or maybe even medium-low, buy these. They are worth the money and you'll be the envy of all - or at least of me.

Well, these are gorgeous boots at a good price!!!! I read the reviews about not being able to get your foot in the boot because of a highArch and no zipper, but I’m glad I ordered them. Tip: put a plastic bag on your foot and you’ll be shocked at how easy your foot slips in. I am an 8.5 and that’s what I ordered. They fit nice around the calf but That’s the one part of me that’s actually smallish. LolBuy them :) 👍👏

I ordered our first pair of Fryes and they were perfect. Brand new, and in the box. Unfortunately, they didn't fit. This pair that I'm reviewing today came folded in a bag. Both boots were scuffed on the sole because they were worn on concrete. They both had a crease because they were folded in half and stuffed in a bag. I complained to Amazon who did not offer any solution except to refund my purchase. With Prime, I have refunds anyway. I suggest Amazon offer customers a choice between ordering brand new items in the original packaging, or open box with a small price reduction. I would have chosen brand new in the box but at least I'd have a choice.

I received a pair of boots that were clearly bought buy someone else first and then returned, because they were already scuffed on bottom. Although the boots fit me perfectly and look new everywhere else, I am not impressed with the fact that I was sent an open boxed pair without my knowledge. When I buy new, I expect something brand new to arrive.

These are great boots. I'm a 9 and these fit perfect with a little room for a thicker sock. I thought my arches were high but had no issues getting them on or off. They do have 2 inner strap holders to help if needed. My calves are 14"-14.5" and still fit with skinny jeans tucked in and don't look to wide with bare skin and dress. Love them.
