Egg Candler, Candling Light Tester for Eggs with High Intensity,Egg Candle for Distinguishing Fertile Chickens Ducks Quail Eggs

My wife sent me a link to a $50+ candler but I ordered this instead. We use it on brown chicken and turkey eggs. I can't imagine what the expensive one can do that this doesn't except maybe brighter could be better on very (very) dark brown eggs.For most this is all you need.Great value and function.

One other reviewer stated it was assembled upside down and couldnt be unstuck to fix it so it could be used. Mine also came this way. No way to load batteries. Wont come apart to fix it the right way. I even hit it on a counter to try to unstick it, Nothing. My nearest UPS drop off is an hour away so I am eating the 12.83.

I have my own chickens, so I don't worry about egg prices. If you raise your own eggs, you definitely need to candle them before you give them away.

Title sats it all, Was not very bright. I opted for a more powerful one. It did come with batteries and in a pinch it would work but, not overly bright.

extremely cheaply made not worth the $10 more like a $3-$5 dollar product from five below or dollar tree

The media could not be loaded. My incubator has a candler in top, but it’s not really clear so I purchased this one. See video and pic. The directions are sparse and you may need more information. I tried it this morning and it’s definitely more clear than the incubator one. I am please so far with the purchase.

Received this egg candler today. Light battery department was defective, missing the springs to hold or provide contact to the batteries. Waste of time and money since I have to drive 30 min to the closest UPS to return a 10 dollar flashlight I could have paid 2 dollars for a working flashlight at the dollar store down the street. Very disappointing!

Flashlight works very well and was easy to use.
