Reset a check engine light
I had a check engine light on and the car was stalling when I came to a stop. Plugged in this reader and it instantly told me the problem. I was a bad Sensor that I replaced for $95. The dealer wanted $1100.

Make sure you look for a device that has the right connector. this one has 16 pins instead of the more common 8 to 12 pin.

Muy malo se probó con 18 vehículos diferentes no reconoció ninguno y se bloquea y la devolución cuesta el triple del producto no lo recomiendo para nada esa una estafa

ROMONDES Car Code Reader RD100- Handy to have for the price, needs better documentation
My 2018 RAV4 started displaying "maintenance required" so I figured I would try this to see what the problem is. Per the device's systems review, no problem. Apparently, it's just the every 5,000 mile go to the dealer for service racket. I thought an OBD reader like this might be required to reset the maintenance required message, but it doesn't do that. That is something you do from your info display- see YouTube.I am guessing this is an entry level product since other ROMONDES readers have higher numbers. The documentation is inadequate. You get a very hard to read, MICRO PRINT information sheet which barely gets you started. The company's website support page promises documentation and error code descriptions are "coming soon" - but they are not there now.Plug in under the dash was obvious - only powers up after car power is turned on, and only reads after engine is started. Then you have to fumble through (up, down, back, enter) the screen menu choices. Enough to tell me there were no problems, but if there were, I am not sure I would be able to interpret what.

A very simple to use OBD2 scanner that worked on our GM and Dodge vehicles. A handy tool to have around or with you to diagnose why your check engine light came on. Priced right to save a trip to the mechanic or parts store and arms you with insight ahead of any needed repairs.

Works Well
It will take a bit more to get used to. Mainly got this to see what my check engine light was on for and it was for a sensor that was going bad. Works well so far and helped cleared my check engine light as well. Looking forward to using this more and seeing all of the features that it has.
