Reolink Duo 2--Good Product and Excellent Customer Support
An Almost Ideal Home Surveillance Product For Hard To Reach With Power LineI've owned a Reolink Duo2 since August 2023. I was very satisfied with it in the first few months. The resolution is good. The camera's 180° angle is capable of capturing a wide spectrum of view in one camera with two lens. The solar powered battery based device was a unique one suited for my use case. The solar panel and the camera are installed in a location in which the sun light exposure is very much from sunrise to sunset; therefore, power is never a problem. The App provides a great UI to achieve almost anything that I could think of except... (I'll get to it shortly).Just about time (4+ months on) to acquire more such devices, the device would intermittently go offline. This happened in a cycle of approximately once every few weeks as such that it demanded a power recycle of the camera or else no event recording whatsoever was saved in the micro SD. As the frequency of the issue went up, it became obvious that there was some issue with the camera. Such a nice product, I had high expectations, e.g., a configurable auto-reboot but I couldn't find such a feature in the App. It eventually wore out my patience. So I reached out to the customer support for help. The Reolink customer support personals are very detail-oriented and responsive. All correspondences without exceptions are conducted within 24 hours. In a few days of troubleshooting with the tech support, they offered me an RMA with a new replacement. The Reolink support handles the case with the highest priority that I received my replacement camera 3 days after I shipped my bad unit back to the Reolink warehouse. After 2 months of uptime, the [apparently a newer version of] Duo2 is still working well at this point. I am very satisfied by the support and with the product. I highly recommend the product.Nice to enhance:1. Auto reset.2. Configurable pre-buffer video on event detection.3. Non-Detection Zone, Others, need to have paint over desirable areas instead of "Paint All".4. For camera recording, the camera needs to have a configurable pre-buffered recording duration, e.g. 1s, 5s. Yes, this demands a memory buffer.New problem:Huawei Mate 60 playback of older recording (by the previous camera) does not work. The playback will be stuck at the "Loading Stream..." forever and no video will ever be played at all. This is apparently a compatibility issue--new software issue. Room for improvements.

Cover your the entire front of your house with ONE camera.
The media could not be loaded. When I got this camera I kinda thought it was a Novelty Serioulsy I did. But WOW its not.. As long as your not Directly in the face of this camera it stitches things very nicely. You can also change the image distance to your liking, Meaning the stitch is is where the two images come together and their is a small overlap on each lens. For the most part I have mine set to get motion directly in front of the camera since Im on a busy road and really do not need the SD card to be full every day :)Setup of this camera could not be easier. But I suggest before you actually install this, Set it up first before you install it. Make sure everything is working fine before your install. Once out of the box and synced to the REOLink app you can install it. I did upgrade the solar panels arm on mine to longer a one due to how much overhang my metal roof has and I wanted to get as much Sun as I could. The panel is actually larger than others I have used. So it gets at much more sun than the smaller ones. Make sure the solar panel has plenty of sun. During the install I tucked the excess solar panel cable into the soffit so it would not hang out. The dual images really are so wide that you totally cover any side of most normal sized homes. For me I like to have it angled down so I do not get reflection at night from the soffit (yes I had this happen)The app is full of a bunch of features. Even Timelapse (I have yet to try one but I plan on trying some time in the future.) And it allows you to basically fine tune everything you want on this camera. And you can even get movement notifications which will help you find that pesky Dirty Mike (Raccoon) and his boys or see that Amazon did deliver your latest gadget, gizmo, or new pair of socks. The best part of a solar powered camera is that it still records when your power is out. You just cannot connect to it till it's back on a network. I was too busy getting my house in order before the hurricane I did not get my setting dialed in to capture some of the wind.. Wish I had.Pro: Solar- Powered keeps itself chargedDual-lens for an ultra-wide field of view, covering large areas with ease.Easy to set up and install, with the intuitive REOLINK app.App has lots of customization options, including motion detection and timelapse features.Cons: Motion Detection might take a few tries to get set up to the sensitivity that you desire
